WOW! The Companion Watch has just been reviewed by Age Space and they LOVED it! π₯³π
Their reviewer Roey (90 years young) said: "The whole thing for me is that it doesnβt look like what it is and what it does. Iβm not embarrassed to wear it and I donβt think Iβll be taking it off anytime soon."
Thank you so much, Roey, and thank you to Age Space for taking the time to put the Companion Watch through its paces.

Digital doesn't ALWAYS mean better... β
For some, a digital watch can be difficult to read, especially in bright light conditions or if the wearer suffers any kind of visual impairment.
Companion Watch proudly sports an enlarged, analogue watch face that's clear and readable in all situations - it's just one of the ways we've made our watch convenient and easy to use in your day-to-day life!
For sufferers of Dementia and similar cognitive impairments, wandering and getting lost can be a truly frightening experience.
Don't worry though, because your Companion Watch comes complete with secure GPS tracking, offering you - and your support network - the reassurance in knowing that you can be quickly located in an emergency such as a fall.

GPS Tracking/Wandering Alarms Explained | Companion Watch Unlike many other wandering alarms, Companion watch securely shares its GPS location, making it perfect for Dementia sufferers.
"Wear me, wear me!"
One of the major issues with wearable falls detection devices is that the wearer may simply forget to put them on in the morning.
Companion Watch has an automatic alert that reminds you to put it on when you get up, and sends a notification to your emergency contacts.
You can even choose your preferred time for the alert if you fancy a lie-in!
"How do I personalise my Companion Watch?"
Every Companion Watch monitors wellbeing metrics and detects falls, but it also comes with a choice of four configurations, depending on the wearer's capabilities and what they would like to monitor.

Care professionals in Wales are reducing hospital admissions following a fall, by offering patients a cwtch.
Yes, it's the Welsh word for "hug", but it also stands for:
C - Can you move them?
W - Will it harm them - for example by causing any new neck or back pain?
T - Treat - dress wounds or offer pain relief
C - Cup of tea - great for calming nerves after a fall
H - Help - know when to call an ambulance or doctor
The care team discovered that hospital admissions are often as a result of lying on a hard surface for a long time after a fall. Therefore, swift and decisive action can make a big difference.

For a Demetia patient, adopting a new piece of tech can be stressful. The operation of the device, plus the associated alerts, beeps and buzzes can confuse and distress a new user who isn't familiar or struggles to understand.
Luckily, your Companion Watch can be configured to operate entirely without the wearer's input, and with audible alerts disabled to minimise confusion.

Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Support | Companion Watch With a built-in wander alarm and fall alert system, Companion watch helps monitor elderly and disabled relatives with cognitive impairment.
Companion Watch comes complete with GPS tracking.
When enabled, this feature monitors the wearer's location when they leave their home/boundary area.
In this example:
β° Mum wakes at midnight and leaves the home.

π A Companion safe zone boundary alert is raised to the support network.
π± The support network use the GPS location map on their mobile phone or device to find Mum.
