Our wonderful Basford nursery packed up a jungle themed picnic and headed to their local care home recently to visit their friends over a lunch packed with animal themed activities! 🐯

Intergenerational learning is something we regard very highly here at Kids Planet - we're so very lucky to have lots of partnerships across the UK with local organisations who are happy to co-host 'mix and mingle' sessions so our littlest ones can learn from and make friends with the more experienced generations. 🥰

Our July team wellbeing event was 'National Picnic Month' 🥗🥖

This is something we always take part in with the children, but we brought into our team meetings, staff rooms and head office to get it on the fun ourselves! 🥰

The aim was to create a relaxing, fun outdoor experience focused on wellbeing, team building and relaxation! We think we did a pretty good job! ✨🧘

🎨Messy Play 🎨

Our babies have been taking part in messy play.
The children were exploring paint and foam in the garden and developing their physical development by grasping, squeezing, patting and clapping.
The children loved this sensory experience. ❤️

🥰 Training 🥰

Some of our team are transfers and some of our team are new!
They are all doing amazing in their roles
However it is of course important that they stay current and knowledgeable on the early years curriculum , terminology and how to ensure we are providing the best experiences to the children.
Therefore we had a training session!
An interactive training session of course!
The team feedback is that they loved it and it was fun!

🥕Growing Our Own Vegetables🥕

Today in nursery we have been planting seeds to grow our own vegetables in our planters outside the nursery with our in house Eco Team.
This has helped us learn about our world and It is more environmentally friendly to grow our own vegetables.
We cannot wait to see how they grow! 📏

Our little ones have been buzzing with the Euro's spirit recently! From fun matches to creative arts and crafts centred around football, we are passionate about fostering a love for sports, getting outdoors, and learning about teamwork from an early age. 🏃‍♂️🎨⚽️

As we cheer on our own little kickers, we also want to send a massive GOOD LUCK to Team England in the Euro semi-finals - let's bring it home!

🍫 World Chocolate Day 🍫

We have all been making our own Chocolate crispy cakes and it got messy!
The children learnt how mix, learnt about texture and different tastes.
The children loved the activity and we snapped this lovely picture of one of our babies 👶🏼

🚦Our Environment 🌳

Today we have been on a trip to explore our environment and we had lots and lots of fun!
We started by leaving nursery with Demi & Sandra, we then listened very carefully and learnt about road safety and how to cross a road safely.
We then walked near the canal where we spotted some ducks and geese. We counted how many we could see and there was alot! They were making funny noises and they made us laugh.
We then saw some flowers and we counted the petals on the flowers and spoke about what they looked like.
After that we had a break and ate some breadsticks and had some water.
We then wanted to go and have fun in the park, going on the slide and swings.
We had the best time ever!

It was a hit all the children had a great time and even the parents did!

🧑‍🌾 Kenyon Hall Farm 🧑‍🌾

Our pre school & toddler children have been to visit Kenyon Hall Farm today in Warrington with Demi & Steve where our children had the experience of picking their very own fruit from the tree's in where they have grown.
The children learnt all about where the fruit grows, how it grows and how it looks when its grown.
This trip has been an amazing first hand meaningful experience for the children and it also links in with the outdoor learning they have been doing at home with their families.
The children came back with lots of fruit and we are going to be washing them and having them for our dessert today, Yummy! 🍓🫐
