We are a Church of England (Anglican) parish within the Diocese of Chester.
We've got Christmas trees of all shapes and sizes including the loan of these beauties from Paul's Christmas Trees. There is also amazing artwork from Kids Rock Pre - School, the 'bra' bin being looked after Girlguiding North West England, and trees from Trafford South foodbank, St Pauls Babes and Tots group, Macmillan cancer support, Sale CAP Debt Centre, Sale High School, St Paul's Community Choir, the Christingle Children's Society tree and Dunham Massey National Trust.
We open Friday afternoon, early birds may spot our special angels waiting for new homes.
Today we celebrate the festival day of St Bishop Nicholas of Myra who was the inspiration for the modern day Santa Claus.
St Nicholas is known for selling all his possessions and giving his money to the poor. He dedicated his entire life to serving and caring for those in need.
We pray for churches bearing the name of and pray that we too may be generous and as kind as St Nicholas.
Did you put your shoes/stockings out last night for St Nicholas to put presents in?
***Below is a St Nicholas decorated Christmas tree- can you spot the Bishop's mitre on the top of the tree?

Stir-up Sunday is this weekend, the day where people traditionally make their Christmas puddings.
It always takes place on the last Sunday before Advent - and the name originates, not from the stirring of the pudding, but from a prayer traditionally used on this day:
“Stir up, we beseech thee, O Lord, the wills of thy faithful people..."
Will you be making your Christmas pudding this weekend? Let us know below. 👇

Did you know... 🎃
The word ‘Halloween’ comes from ‘All Hallows’ Eve', the night before All Saints’ Day.
There are two theories for the origin of the day as we know it:
• A Christianisation of a Gaelic pagan festival. Many of the secular customs of Halloween can be explained by this suggestion
• The vigil of All Hallows' Day - known today as All Saints'.
Regardless of the possible pagan influence, it is important to note that for about 900 years Christians have been observing the night before All Saints’ Day on the evening of 31 October.
Many churches hold light parties for children and young people. Find out if there's one for your family at cofe.io/LightParties.
