New cowls

First 4 are from a spot in lockton that’s having issue with draw, as always it’s a process of elimination but the aspirotor cowl has definitely made an improvement on the performance

Last 2 are from a spot In Ayton that’s been leaking water into the property, we capped the two pots off and temporarily fixed the flaunching until next year when we’ll be back to re flaunch and grind out and repoint the stack in some lovely hot lime 🔥

We kept The existing fireplace, the customer did a great job matching the hearth up so it flowed seamlessly into the chamber
The bricks were cleaned up and repointed in hotlime

We custom made a heat shield to make sure the installation was compliant with Hetas regulations and sprayed it to match the fireplace

Something different we’ve been working on over the last week

Baxi Burnall underfloor draught fire

The old gas fire was removed

We dug the floor out and and inserted the ash pan along with the direct air feed which comes from the external air bricks

Then we installed the fireback, which was back filled with lime mortar and vermiculite to provide a good insulating cushion against the external wall.

Next we had to painstakingly remove the old tile adhesive from the tiles and re tile the fire place

Finally we fixed the surround and the fires good to go .
