HOLLY

🌟 11hh Black Cob Mare
🌟 8 Years Old
🌟 Ridden Project

Holly is a confident and friendly little mare with lots of character. She has been sat on previously and now needs bringing on with a sensitive, experienced lightweight rider.

Holly is good with other horses and has lived out all her life in a small herd, though she would adapt to coming in at night in winter if needed. We are looking for a home with plenty of previous experience of bringing young ponies on. We believe she will make a fantastic childrens pony in the future, she just needs to learn more about the world first!

IZZY

🌟 Unbroken Ridden Project/Companion

Izzy is a sweet girl who gets on well with other horses and has a lovely nature. She likes human company but due to being badly treated in the past worries about new people and needs kind and understanding handling. Izzy has lived out 24/7 with a small mixed herd with us, and we are looking for a home that can continue to provide this lifestyle for her.

Izzy is currently unbroken, but we believe she could be ridden and would be suitable for a steady hacking home. Izzy is therefore available for permanent loan to a home with previous experience of starting young horses.

TILLY

🌟 Companion

Tilly is a beautiful girl with a very sweet nature. She makes a lovely companion and bonds very well with people, however, she is a sensitive pony who can get quite nervous and therefore needs a kind and experienced handler. She would not be suitable as a riding pony but we believe she would enjoy in-hand work once she has settled into her new home.

Tilly currently lives out 24/7 with a mixed group of horses. Though she would come in at night in winter as long as the group of horses she lives with was coming in as well.

Please Note:

🐴 We rehome to most areas of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire only – unless otherwise stated in the horse's description.

🐴 We only rehome our horses to homes with daily group turnout.

🐴 Many of our equines come from backgrounds where they have lacked proper care and may require additional care and training. We do not have any horses available to rehome who would be suitable as first ponies or that are suitable for novices.

We love to receive updates on our rehomed horses. Here are two very happy (and muddy!) ponies in their new home. A huge thank you goes to Jo for providing Shelley and Dol with such a fantastic retirement 💙

Interesting results from a recent study show that horses living at pasture with other horses are better at following human-guided cues than those living in stalls or paddocks, regardless of their relationship with the human giving those clues.

The findings suggest horses might learn to understand humans’ gestures over time, but that good welfare, husbandry, and mental stimulation can strongly affect their learning ability 👇
