The children (and staff) at Jellytots have been very interested and excited about the euros and cheering on England during the tournament so far!

So we thought we’d have a day dedicated to this on Tuesday.

All children are welcome to come in their own football kits or shirts, as well as flag making, design your own kit and exciting tuff tray activities!

The toddler room at Jellytots certainly think so!!

💭 🌙 BFG and dream catchers 🌙💭

The children at jellytots have been focusing on Fairytales as our new topic.

Yesterday we spoke about the story BFG and planned an activity for the children to make dream catchers.

The children completed this activity during circle time. They enjoyed developing their physical skills by threading the string through the dream catchers.

After they completed the threading the children moved over to the tuff tray where they used their creative skills to decorate them using various materials!

☀️ Summer is finally on its way ☀️

The nice weather is finally approaching us so please can we remind all parents/ carers to pack suncream and sun hats for their child/children!

✨ Our little explorers ✨

The toddlers have had lots of fun going for a walk round Selby, we found some ducks when we was walking over the bridge, we stopped and said hello. We also asked the children what noise a duck makes and the children then said "Quack Quack". We then went to sit in the park and have a little drink and a snack, then after that we went to the train station and saw some trains the children waved at the train driver and also shouted CHOO CHOO 🚞

We are so proud of all of the children for always being absolute superstars!

We would like to say a big thank you to Knapton Tyres Ltd for donating these tyres to the nursery, the children have loved balancing on them in the garden and climbing in and out, helping them to develop their physical skills!

We would also like to thank our neighbours MKM for donating some pallets.

We will be using the pallets and tyres to develop our garden over the summer so we really do appreciate your kindness.

🐠tomorrows set-up!🐠

🌍 Earth day 🌍

Monday 22nd April.

We have some fun activities planned for Earth day on Monday.

We will be teaching the children about recycling, exploring in tuff trays and encouraging the children to paint the world.

The children will also be able to develop their pencil control skills.

We hope you all have a lovely weekend and we will see you on Monday for another fun filled week at Jelly tots. ☺️

🐟 🐠 Under the sea 🐠🐟

What a busy morning we have had here at Jelly tots!

The toddlers enjoyed a walk to the local pet shop this morning to look a the different fishes, we saw lots of them! “Big ones”, “baby ones”. We talked about the different colours we could see on them too.

The fun didn’t stop there, as the toddlers and preschool children engaged in some water play in the garden, seeing what different sea life creatures they could find in the water.🐠 🐟 🦈 🐬 🪼

🐰 Easter Weekend 🐰

As the long Easter weekend will be upon us shortly we just wanted to take the time to wish you all of our children and families a Happy Easter and we will see you all back at nursery on Tuesday the 2nd of April. We hope you all have a lovely weekend 🐰🐥

Just a polite reminder that Friday the 22nd March will be the last day for term time only funded sessions.

✨Cleaner vacancy✨

Jelly tots nursery are looking for a cleaner to join us!

This position will be 10 hours a week.

What does the role involve?

• You will be responsible for cleaning the nursery rooms, kitchen and toilet areas.

You will also:
•Ensure that areas are cleaned to the highest standards at all times

•Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly

•Always keeping in line with cleaning and health and safety regulations.

The candidate must be self motivated, hardworking and be able to use their own initiative as well as undertake tasks as directed by the settings manager.

Previous experience is desirable.

A clear dbs check will be required.

🔴Comic Relief 15th March 2024🔴

This Friday we will be raising money for the comic relief charity.

Children can attend nursery wearing an item of red clothing or any kind of pyjamas. A donation pot will be in the reception area for anyone who is wanting to make a small donation.

We are getting ready for Easter here at Jelly Tots! 🐰🐣🥚

👫 We still have some funded places available for 2, 3 and 4 year old’s from April 24 👫

If you require childcare for your children and they are aged 2-4 years old and are eligible for funding please contact us as we have availability from April.

We can offer help and support when applying for 30 hours and any other funding you may be entitled to.

🛝 A walk to the park 🛝

Some of the babies have had a lovely walk to the park this morning and enjoyed some snack in the sun.

They enjoyed seeing the different vehicles on the road such as a dustbin lorry and bikes. They even heard a fire engine in the distance. 🚒 🚲 🚛

📚 World book day 7th March 2024 📚

JellyTots Nursery will be inviting all children to dress up as their favourite character/characters throughout the week, this will start from Monday the 4th of March.

We will be planning lots of activities around some of the children’s favourite stories 📚

There will also be a fancy dress competition each day for the best dressed child! ☺️

The practitioners have set up some fantastic tuff trays ready for tomorrow!

These are all based around our current topic which is transport.

The children will be able to engage in these activities and learn about what the different transport vehicles are for.

🚒 Transport week just got exciting 🚒

We had a lovely suprise today for the children, the local fire brigade paid us a visit at Jelly tots!

The children learnt lots about how firefighters do their job and even got to look at some of the equipment they use whilst at work.

Another fun, exciting, day at Jellytots learning new things ☺️
