Our Arts Council funded project "stone soup " gets underway next week. We're excited about working with local artist and art therapist Emilie Taylor to offer people the opportunity to explore the benefits of creativity on their mental health.

Our Arts Council funded project Stone Soup gets underway next week. Based on the folk tale showing the power of collaboration, 10 people are getting together on our lovely allotment with a local artist and art therapist Emilie Taylor. They will be working with clay, baking bread and making soup. The project will culminate with an exhibition in September. Watch this space for updates.

SAGE are hiring. We're looking for a pt temp arts support worker for our Arts Council funded "stone soup "project. Working with a local artist/potter Emilie Taylor the project includes making, decorating and firing pots, a celebratory meal, a film and exhibition. Initially 10 Fridays from 17.3.2023, with more sessions to be agreed up to the exhibition in September. Exciting times at SAGE over the next few months. We are having a major refurbishment of our main site courtesy of a Β£24,000 grant from the Wolfson Foundation.
Once the work is completed, we're hosting an arts project "Bread and Clay" with another Β£24,000 grant from the Arts Council.
Watch this space for more info as we get going.
