I just completed a course in Scar Therapy at The London School of Osteopathy!

I had so many great learning experiences and I got to work with loads of lovely clients, who had pain, numbness and movement issues from their scars.

We had burns patients, knee replacements, hip replacements, mastectomies, reconstructions, c-sections and many more. The difference after their treatments was amazing, and that was just after one session.

I’m really excited to add this skill to my work.

I went to my first UK Reiki Federation conference in person, it was great to see so many other practitioners in attendance.

The hotel staff must have thought we were all crazy with our meditations and energy exercises!

Having reiki is like meditation, it clears your mind and helps you unwind! 🥰

How did I come to do reiki?

In 2010, I tried it out of desperation as my 2 year old daughter had been suffering from eczema and nothing from the doctor or dietician was helping. I had already tried herbalism, homeopathy, traditional Chinese medicine and a whole host of other modalities.
I didn’t even believe in reiki or ‘energy healing’, but I thought I would try anyway.

I signed up for a level 1 reiki course and it blew my mind. Over time it not only healed my daughter’s eczema but also helped so many other people and even animals!

I’m by nature quite suspicious, and kept on testing it out. I don’t like to blindly believe in things without seeing things for myself, but reiki DID work. It has given me so much meaning and hope over the years. Knowing there is more out there than what we see is life changing.

I have dedicated the last 12 years to learning and practising it, and I am now ready to tell others about it.

I have created a level 1 reiki course, and I am teaching it as a one to one lesson.

It takes place over two days, and I will teach what reiki is, the history of it, how to heal yourself, other people, pets and much more!

A friend asked me the other day what most of my reiki clients see me for.

When I thought about it I realised that the vast majority of them are looking for some help in dealing with grief.

Sometimes interesting things happen during treatments: some clients have visions of their loved ones. Mostly, they feel a sense of peace which they haven’t experienced since their loss. Reiki won’t heal a broken heart, but it can give comfort, support and a sense of perspective.

As always I am really amazed at the things reiki can help with. 💕

I became a reiki master teacher a long time ago, but I never felt called to teach until recently. I’ve had a lot of people asking me to be their teacher in the last two months, so perhaps the universe is trying to tell me something!

At the same time, I suddenly feel ready to pass on my experiences from the last 12 years. It has taken that long for me to feel even remotely qualified to cover such a vast and life changing topic.

I have been writing a reiki level 1 course and I’m really close to getting it finished!

I am still not quite ready to deliver it yet, as I’m studying for a qualification in Clinical sports massage therapy, but once that’s completed in the summer, I will focus all my time on my course, which I will start teaching in September 2022.

After being a reiki practitioner for more than 11 years, I've decided to add something new!

I am excited to add sports massage therapy to my practice, which is a type of deep tissue massage for injuries and muscle dysfunctions. I have a diploma in sports massage therapy
(level 3 ) and am now studying for a Btec level 5 in Clinical Sports Massage and Soft Tissue therapy.

I think this will work wonderfully with reiki. Half an hour of sports massage followed by half an hour of reiki would be very effective for aches and pains!

Massage..... coming soon! And I will need volunteers! 🥰
