New Mortgage Alert 🚨
A lender today has announced a £5,000 deposit mortgage up to a 99% of the value of your home.
Meaning you could buy a house for up to £500,000 with just a £5,000 deposit.
This particular lender understands that raising a deposit is a key challenge for many wanting to step onto the property ladder for the first time, and they want to help more first time buyers open the door to their first home.
So what do you need to know?
- At least one applicant must be a first time buyer
- Credit rating must be excellent+ (still subject to lender internal score)
- 5 Year Fix only
- Available for purchases above £100,000 up to £500,000
- Minimum borrowing £95,000 and max £495,000
- Cannot borrow anymore than 4.49x your income
- New purchases only
- Subject to affordability, criteria and credit score
Excludes
- Purchases of flats, new builds and properties in Northern Ireland
- Not available for applications where any applicant does not have permanent right to reside in the UK

🤔 Why is that important? The Bank of England base rate, influences lending rates for banks and borrowers, impacting economic activity and inflation. Adjusted in response to economic conditions, it guides monetary policy goals such as inflation control and economic stimulation.
