Many Hands sells operates an open door policy, with many informal social drop-in groups, along with a wealth of crafting workshops ran by resident crafters and visiting artists / professionals. Have you ever fancied spinning your own yarn for knitting or crocheting with?
Have you ever wanted a go with a drop spindle, a Turkish spindle or a good ol' fashioned spinning wheel?
Well look no further! Many Hands are now holding spinning workshops with Lamb In The Loft, learning about different types of fibres, how to prep fibres for spinning, making batts and rolags to spin from, and how to spin the yarn itself using a range of tools.

These sessions are £35, and I will be providing all materials needed. Come along, have some fun and learn a new skill while you're at it!

Come along for a 2 hour session on the basics of crochet and what you can do with it, learning the granny square stitch and how to turn this into a jumper.... and of course the all important cake and biscuits. 🥮
Hosted by the lovely Georgie, come along and learn how to crochet yourself a granny square jumper, blanket or cushion cover 🧶
If you are bringing your own materials, the tuition will be £30 per 2 hour session. You will need 6 balls of yarn in DK and either a 4.5mm or a 5mm crochet hook to make a granny square jumper 👕
If you are using materials that I have provided there will be an additional cost of £15 for materials.
You will learn how to;
Measure and calculate your size of garment.
How to make granny squares.
How to join squares into the front, back and arm panels.
How to construct the panels into a top.
And how to edge and finish off your garment.

Deposit of £5 will be required to book each space, and you will need to inform me of whether you are bring your own materials or whether I need to purchase you some.

What a fun and exciting couple of days! The legend that is David Driver (the man behind The Poets Pasture) ran a workshop for us as part of Project Park. Brilliant fun, lots of laughter and fantastic poems written.

Join us on Friday afternoons in the run up to Christmas for fabulous festive crafting. Heidi will show you how to make a different Yule themed craft every week - there’ll be tinsel, baubles, reindeer, Santa (not the real one ‘cos he’s a bit busy), and lots of fun and good cheer.
No need to book, drop us a message if you’d like to come along or just turn up. Workshops usually last a couple of hours but we won’t rush you….
Oh I’m loving the art being created in our Project Park! Techniques include block printing, creating our own stamps, paper collage and bubble wrap painting. Moving towards mixed media art for our nature based journals.

We’ve been getting ready for our Christmas wreath workshops being held at The Kings Arms Silsden on 30th November and 2nd December to raise funds for Many Hands.
Learning how to prepare the wreath base by wiring them with sustainable moss. Thanks for the lesson Janet Thomas, florist extraordinaire! Only another 36 to go…. Phew.

🌱 We have 2 groups; one Tuesdays and one Wednesdays, please check the image below for details.
🍀 Important details: to claim your place you must be able to commit to every session (12 in total).
🍃 The sessions have a focus on mental health. We will be discussing openly and honestly our mental health issues (of which most of us have!!) so please come with that in mind.

Come along to make your wreath at the King's Arms, Silsden, either on the 30th November (7pm - 9pm) or the 2nd December (1pm - 3pm). Our fresh mossed wreaths will last til at least January (mine lasted til Feb 💪)
Our trained florist will show you how to use all the beautiful fresh decorations (cinnamon sticks, orange slices, flowers etc.) to make a unique and personal wreath.

We are happy to do discounts for group bookings too if you fancy something different for your Christmas party!

We run our workshops and community crafting hub from our studios at First floor, No. 23 Kirkgate. Many Hands shop is at No. 25 Kirkgate.
We aim to combat social isolation in a non-judgemental, all-inclusive setting for those facing economic, physical or mental disadvantages. Offering a discreet high street presence in the heart of Silsden our crafting workshops and outlet provide a safe-haven for those wishing to develop new or existing skills.
