The first evidence of mass being held at Broughton Hall is when the Archbishop of York granted the licence in April 1453.

The chapel that exists now, and pictured here, was built in 1756 and redecorated in 1901 by Anton Wybo of Belgium. The templates of the ceiling stars and other decorative motifs are kept safely upstairs for any future redecoration.

This well-loved place of worship is bold and beautiful in its colour scheme and a truly fine example of a private country house chapel - a true masterpiece of worship and architecture! 🕯️

Our very first Review 5* x3 as Callum wanted to score more😊 Despite viewing the website before our arrival we were still overwhelmed by the sheer space of the Apartment. The views across the hub of Skipton are compelling by both day and by night. We were here on Market Day and didn’t hear a thing. We decided to dine in the apartment both nights we stayed. The apartment is warm, comfortable and well equipped to make it a perfect base to explore Skipton and beyond..
