In America today, it's Thanksgiving, so what are you grateful for? Just sit for five minutes and do a little gratitude meditation. Gratitude is a beautiful gift. It opens the heart and bypasses the ego. I first started to do gratitude meditation 23 years ago when I got clean from he**in. I was so grateful to be alive, to live, and to truly see the beauty in life. I remember staring for 20 minutes at a flower and seeing God's energy in it. I was genuinely grateful for life in the year following my sobriety. I practiced gratitude every day, so enjoy giving thanks for everything that you have. Maybe start putting gratitude into your own daily practice.

I am grateful for all the clients I have at Soul Space. I'm grateful for all the healing tools I practice and have learned, which have helped me transform from such disempowerment, abuse, and trauma. I'm grateful for all the shadow energies,the darkness, the abuse, and trauma that have brought me into empowerment and helped me become the healer that I am.

I don’t have many testimonials for my s*xual healing work as people want to remain anonymous so I am sharing this one anonymously myself. This is from a women I worked with around some s*xual abuse trauma.

I visited lovely Larissa at Soul Space for a consultation and to discuss which healing modality would be most suitable for me. As a survivor of historical s*xual abuse, it's fair to say I've done a *lot* of different healing modalities over the years (including training in some myself!), but I felt particularly drawn to (yet also resistant to!) de-armouring work. Having spent years delving in to my psyche around my experiences, and gaining a deep soul understanding of what happened to me, I still felt something was "missing" from the work I've done, and indeed my body was still holding on to trauma and tension in my s*xual organs. As I already knew Larissa on a social and friendship level, I'll be honest and say I was VERY nervous going in to the session, and this mirrored the shame I was holding on to around my body and my s*xuality. I need not have worried though. From start to finish she was professional, totally approachable, and held me in such a pure, beautiful, soul and body enriching healing vortex. At no point did I experience ANY fear, discomfort, trigger of old traumas.....in fact at times I felt so relaxed I fell asleep!! It was like being cosseted and loved in a cocoon of warm loving healing energy. Integration over the next few days were fascinating too! In the past I have suffered with flashbacks from abuse.....this time the flashbacks came, but they were reassuring, calm, and really felt like they were uplifting me. Almost like my psyche was so used to using flashbacks as a warning signal, this time it used them as affirmations that I am indeed safe and protected ❤ I cannot describe how freeing this has been for me! And since then I have approached s*x in a completely different way. I no longer hold any fear around being touched in certain intimate areas where my past abuse was centred around, my body finally feels free of my past, and I cannot thank Larissa enough for her tender loving care and expertise. So often in society we still hold shame or embarrassment around our bodies and our s*xuality. But I am eternally glad I followed the inner call to go to Soul Space, push through my internal resistance, and gift myself this beautiful transformation. Thank you so so much! # # #
