Fitness is a feeling, not all about image. So many fitness companies are advertising that their products will change the way you look. As if your looks need changing. Many try to sell you an 'image' rather than the health benefits. That 'image' alot of the time has been photoshopped and posed. That is not realistic and will not help you long term.
Let your training become your beat to every day. Enjoy it and remember every single thing you do for YOU counts and DOES make a difference!

Yesterday I had my first photo shoot for Sarker Fit. It was such a fantastic day and I feel so grateful for all the support I have received from Clients, family and friends in my personal training business.

When starting a new business you don't know how it's going to go. Whether people will like your logo, your branding, your prices, your website, your equipment and your classes. Especially when you have designed and arranged this yourself. It's scary and exciting all in one.
Building a business takes investment not just with money but time. It is so easy to overthink and start to doubt yourself... I know I have had points where I don't think it's going to work because 'it's a crowded market' or 'people won't see me as that inspirational figure'. With so many big names out there in the fitness and personal training industry it is so easy to just go with what you know for your training, because it's a big name everyone talks about.
Going with someone new, a small business is hard, it is a risk and you trust in that person, that business to deliver, and you want to see results. Just remember how much it means to a small business that you have chosen them, you are helping them build on their dreams, make a living and they will give you everything they can and more to make you're experience the best.
I'm Viki Sarker, the owner of Sarker Fit. A person who had an idea, a dream and loves what she does. I work hard each day to try to better myself not just for me but for my clients and others around me. I am so proud of where Sarker Fit has got to so far, and love training every single one of my clients. I can't wait to see where the future takes us and can't wait to meet all you future clients too.

I am excited, nervous and scared all in one but it something I have always wanted to achieve and feel this year is the time to give it a go! I am raising money for the charity Simon Says. This charity means alot to me as I know it really helped one of my previous students and her family. To read more of her story please go to my bio and click the link.
Simon Says helps and offers support to children who are dealing with the death of someone close. They offer information and advice on how to move forward, sessions, telephone support, opportunities to meet other families who are going through similar situations, training for teachers and other professions working with bereaved children and young people ... the list goes on! All of this is offered to us for free.
I as an adult really struggle to compute the possibility of either of my Parents becoming poorly or the thought of 'death' of a close loved one. I cannot begin to imagine how difficult it must be for bereaved children. I want to support this Charity and help support young children during difficult times.
This really means a lot to me and I know it will mean the world to Maya too. Please donate what you can and I will push through this Marathon knowing you've all come together to support such a great cause.

Right - Don't think 'New year, new me'
Remember being YOU is your super power. It's what gives you the edge above everyone else. Yes you can make lifestyle choices that can effect your health, lifestyle and happiness but that doesn't create a 'new you' that simply creates a more experienced and stronger version of YOU!... That's one of my favourite parts of personal training is meeting YOU...
Everyone is different and I love creating all your personal plans, it not only helps you on your journey but helps me on mine too. The more of you I train the more I learn about all your different types of journeys and goals.
Everything has a WHY behind it. We make on average 35,000 decisions a day!? 35,000 that's crazy isn't it! Every one of those will have you very own why behind it, even those that are seen as 'bad' decisions.... before them often comes the saying 'Why not!?' which is bloody fantastic.
You do only live once and go and make the most of it! There is more to life than scales, body shapes and comparisons. NO ONE has a fixed shape physically or mentally. We ALL fluctuate. How and when you fluctuate is mostly up to you.
I am all about REALISTIC and FUN training. Doing all I can to not only help you reach your goal but help you enjoy that journey. If you hate the training there is no point, that means youre punishing yourself to get that 'ideallic goal'. If you don't enjoy it you will give up. It'll be hard to get yourself out to attend your sessions.
If you love it and feel pumped each time, (which you will with me ๐คช) you're on YOUR road to success. Be the best YOU you can be.
You have a choice....
Even if something is out of your control, you decide how to take those next steps.
Make time for you and don't sweat it.
Live YOUR life to the full, and if training with me is a part of that then I can't wait.

We are almost on to the 'new year, new me' speeches.
It's good to set goals but:
1) Why wait - make small REALISTIC changes now so you are getting that head start and keeping your training/routine easy to keep consistent. That is the best Christmas present you can give to yourself. Get feeling happier, more confident and comfortable before Christmas.
2) It isn't a 'new you' this is like setting yourself up to fail. Being you is your super power. You can aim to be the best version of yourself but don't desire to be someone else. It's okay to have inspirations and goals but always stay REAL and true to yourself. You know YOU best ๐งก
Don't sweat it, get that head start. Be your best. I can help you along the way.

Common topic right now - 'Core its cold'
Yep that's right it's cold, and its only going to get colder. It's funny that we have these little chats to eachother about how bloody freezing it is when it happens every year... it's like we're surprised by it ๐คฃ
When it comes to fitness winter isn't a time to 'hibernate'! There are so many reasons why working out in the winter I'd good for you!
1) You burn more calories... its true, just by being a bit chilly your body works that little bit harder. You can put all that warm, yummy winter comfort food in to good use and build some muscle.
2) It gets your body warmed up!.. stop moaning it's cold and do something about it. Getting your blood pumping feels great.
3) It gives you MORE energy. I know sounds crazy right but it's true. It can help prevent you feeling sluggish and feeling like you can't get out of bed in the morning.
4) You don't actually need to leave your warm toastie house! You can work out from home... if you want me there as your personal trainer I'll be there.
5) It is something positive to focus on other than the dark evenings. It boosts your mood and makes you feel fantastic!
6) You skip the Christmas rush if you start now. Don't follow the crowd and wait until the new year. Start now! Getting ahead of yourself and feeling fantastic before the new year gets you in to more of a routine and will make your goals more realistic, achievable and consistent. It's the BEAT Christmas present you can give to yourself.
Let's get real together. Don't sweat it.

It's true. Make the change today, even if it's one choice you swap out, like taking the stairs and not the lift, it all helps. Don't sweat it, just do it.

It is such an amazing feeling at the start line before an event. I sometimes feel emotional before the run starts as it is such a wonderful thing being surrounded by hundreds of other people that are coming together through fitness. Everyone is their for different reasons, to raise money, to support a friend/family member, to train, to achieve something new, to push their personal best the list goes on... what it does highlight is anyone of any age can take part in fitness!
Start now, thank me later.
You're not alone.
Even if you feel like you're the 'only one' in your family and friends circle that wants to 'get fit', you are NOT alone! The fitness community is HUGE and really quite magical. I have learnt SO much over the past 6 months from people I have met at walks, runs and events. It is so amazing hearing about different people's walks of life and is such a breath of fresh air to hear about different peoples journeys. It really does just highlight how different we all are but how beautiful and powerful a group of people can be in the fitness community.
Surround yourself with positive people and don't stop there, keep meeting new ones! Let's be real together ๐งก

It's not just about how fitness makes you feel it's about the feeling you have before fitness too... the getting ready, the choosing what to wear.
What you wear can carry you through your class or activity. It can make you feel good and keep you comfortable, confident sleek and supported during exercise. My vest does exactly that. I love the colour and the bamboo material is so comfortable against the skin no matter how sweaty I get. It starts my day right, feeling fresh both physically and mentally.

You can buy in to all sorts of training, diets and active wear to 'boost your fitness' but the real thing that will help you is YOU. That little inner voice inside your head pushing you through - it's not always 'glamorous' but blimey it's bloody powerful!

Let's be real together.
I may be a personal trainer but that doesn't mean that I don't have my own ups and downs, insecurities and experiences with fitness and diet. This experience helps me offer great advice to my clients along with the knowledge from my training.
It is very easy to picture in your mind a Personal Trainer being someone with that 'ideal muscley toned body' that you will all picture differently in your head. - I did that before I trained and always wanted to be seen as 'one of those'... actually we are all so different and each one of you will have a different ideal and a different inspiration to make you tick. As Personal trainers we all have different ways and techniques which each work well for different people. Yes it's a busy market but we are all SO unique.
As a Personal Trainer I like to represent being REAL. Sharing experiences and knowledge to help with realistic programming and training which will get you LONG TERM realistic results. Not a quick fix.

It was so lovely to run the 5K poppy run with my Auntie and one of my little cousins ๐ฅฐ Quite chuffed that I did 5K in under half an hour this time (28 minutes). My next challenge is to get as fast as these two running pros ๐
