ππA very warm welcome to the students joining us today for our Welcome Event!ππ
Well done to our year 1 Travel & Tourism students who have just completed The Compass Project. During the two-month programme, participants learnt about the cruise industry through visits to cruise ships, cruise offices, and the CLIA conference. They had meetings with many industry executives during this time, where they were informed about the various careers that are ahead of them and how to achieve them
Our Year 1 Chemists received a warm welcome to the School of Chemistry at Southampton university where they used the laboratory equipment to extract trimyristin from nutmeg. They were able to use equipment not available in a normal school lab and we'd like to thank the excellent team from the chemistry department for the opportunity.
Information Evening for Parent(s)/Guardians of new students joining us in September 2024 will be held on Monday 1st July, at 6:15pm - 6:45pm or 7:00pm - 7:30pm following our student Welcome Event day.
This event provides an opportunity to attend a short informative presentation by our principal, Alex Scott at either 6.15pm or 7.00pm. There will also be an opportunity to meet and speak with senior staff members.

Professor Gilborn is one of the key sociologists on race inequalities in education and delivered an engaging talk to out A-Level and Access sociology students. He answered students question on his own motivation for his research into institutional racism and how important it is to question education policies and practice.
It is Mental Health Awareness week and we are highlighting the importance of MH to our students in two ways. On Monday we are supporting 'Wear it Green' day- with staff and students wearing the colour green to outline that they are happy to chat to other people, not just about MH issues, but to generally chat. 'Movement' is the theme for the week and the Tutor programme this week highlights some simple ways to build more movement in to our daily lives to support our overall wellbeing.

They spoke about the amazing job opportunities at the airport, gave the students a tour of the landside and air side and also allowed them on the runway. βοΈ

Freddie's dedication and love for cricket have led him to this remarkable opportunity, and we couldn't be happier for him. It's a true testament to his talent and hard work.
This Sunday, April 28th, Freddie will be donning the Hampshire jersey as they take on Essex in an away match. We couldn't be more excited to see him shine on the field!
