Couldn’t decide what to do with all these hag stones, so I made my first interactive sculpture, you get to arrange them yourself, seemed a little quirky, so I went with it. I have used recycled copper and steel wire and a piece of white Oak that was waiting to go in my log burner.

As part of Wellbeing@GaronPark we will be providing a ‘Community Shed’ in the new year.

This will be a space for men, women, young & old alike to get together and take part in practical pursuits based around wood & metalwork. This safe space is a place for people to learn new skills, share existing ones and make new friends over a shared interest.

Over the last few months, our group of sterling volunteers have been working on working bringing our Community Shed to life to be ready for all to use in the new year.

HOW TO INSTALL: MCCOY KICKER SYSTEM

1 - SECURE YOUR STARTER BARS
Secure your starter bars to stabilize the system. Tie the bracket to the rebar with 3 strong ties at your required slab height. 1m centre spacing per bracket

2 - LOOSEN THUMB SCREWS
Loosen the thumb screws & slide the wire chair to align bracket to correct width of concrete upstand. Lock wire chair alignment by hand tightening the thumb screws then finish with a half turn on your nips

3 - SET TIMBERS ONTO THE WIRE CHAIR
4 - TIE A 'LOOP TIE'
Tie a ‘loop tie’ with the tying wire to pressurise the timber into the bracket

5 - POUR & POKER CONCRETE
You have clear access to pour & poker concrete in preparation for waterproofing systems

6 - TEA BREAK
7 - RELEASE TIMBERS
Cut the tying wires to release timbers. Clean & stack timbers for re-use

8 - JOB DONE
A quality monolithic concrete upstand is formed

JG McCoys Box Bead Overview

We have carefully crafted a rendering bead for professional plasterers. The Box Bead can be inserted into single and double gauge openings in plaster board. The use of the Box Bead in wet ‘rough’ coat plaster enables a clean cut opening to be formed around the electrical backing boxes. This skimming bead actively seals a reinforced edge around the double and single apertures when plastering. A high-end finish is achieved at little cost to you.

Currently working on this cabinet. It has lovely original metal handles.I've decided on the body being painted with Frenchic Spitfire which marries with the wood top. Top is going to be sealed with furniture wax I made courtesy of my bees 🐝. The waxed wood effect will run down through the cabinet body to its base. Looking good so far.
