Imagine a GP saddle met a jump saddle in a bar... they smooched... and a few months later a new saddle was born... That would be the VSS.

A saddle made for doing everything in. Comfortable enough to hack, hunt, and do flatwork... but more forward cut with a BIG jump block which sits above your knee for extra security.

Available with a flat seat and square cantle (pictured), or a deeper seat with a round cantle. Also available in a variety of trees, from a flat backed one, to a more angular backed tree.

In sizes 16.5-18"
In standard or calf leather.

Seat welting, facings and stitch design and colour can be personalised.

Wishing all the luck in the world to long-term clients Cecilia and Rupert who are off to Olympia! Well, The London International Horse Show as it's now called.

I've seen Rupert grow from a little hairy, scrawny baby into the most handsome hunk over the last **lots of** years.
He's always had something very special about him, a certain presence and character, and I'm over the moon to see that the judges love him just as much - so they're off to strut their stuff in Lan-dan Town.

Cob saddles can be such a minefield. Because a ‘cob’ can come in many shapes and sizes.
Not to mention non ‘cob’ horses will often need a ‘cob’ saddle.

Over the last couple of months, we've had more last minute cancellations and forgotten appointments than over the last 15 years!

Times are really tough for a lot of people, financially, and we really do understand this... but, last minute cancellations really do affect us:
1) As a small business, we rely on the diary being full to continue, to pay staff, to buy saddles, and to feed families etc.
2) Everyday we turn away potential clients, because there is no space in the diary. So it sucks to then spend 2 hours in the middle of the day sitting in the car, killing time. Not to mention how bad 3x Costa visits a day is for Poppy's caffeine levels.

So... whilst we know things do happen... horses do become lame or poorly, people do get The Rona etc. Please try to give us as much notice as possible, so we can fill your slot. When you book a saddle fitting, pop it in your diary. And remember to be there!

This wonderful human is my right hand girl- for years she’s organised me, answered your messages, and kept my wayward mind on track.
Whilst tonight I won the Saddle Fitter of the Year award… none of it would be possible without Lyndsay Retzback. So, it’s kinda hers too.

Bursting with pride for this lovely pair. Koda is a relatively new horse for our long term client Ishta. He was green and gangly but it was obvious there was something special about him from the day he arrived... even with legs like Bambi on ice.
They really clicked and it’s like the most beautiful love affair blossoming in front of me. I love our saddle fittings, seeing the adoration between them and how much he’s grown and filled out.
Here he is in his rather lush PeeWee Jump saddle. He’s currently borrowing a dressage saddle whilst his new one is being made... but I can safely say he deserves a new saddle. Cos he tries his little heart out. Can’t wait to keep following their journey now they’re out eventing.

Obviously, we don't have favourites here at PeeWee... but, if we did, this would be in the mix for 'best saddle ever'...
Monoflap jump... in havana brown, with whisky mock croc cantle, cream stitching, dark cream welting - including a little cheeky bit of welting through the front gusset. With a personalised knee and thigh block to accommodate the rider's legs.

Yummy? YES! Can't wait to see it in a few weeks when it's bedded down and become extra squishy.

Brown leather always ages so nicely, with the different tones in it. This is going to be extra gorgeous once it's been ridden in a few times.

𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭
Anyone who has booked a saddle fitting, had a query, emailed Peewee Saddlery or Hippo Horse Showers etc… will have spoken to Lyndsay.

She’s my PA. But she’s so much more than that. And she’s been my right hand girl for about five years. The longevity of our working relationship says a lot more about Lyndsay than it does me… she’s patient, she’s organised, and she doesn’t get flustered (well, not a lot). Whereas I’m the opposite. I am sure I am not easy to work for 😂

The last few weeks, (and the upcoming few weeks!) have been crazy, stressful… I’ve not stopped working and have barely slept. I sometimes want to bury my head under a pillow and have a few days of retirement… But, she’s a constant calm presence in my life and her constant-ness is reassuring and calming.

When I messaged her late (late!) last night to tell her I had cocked up and double booked my diary this week… I am sure she said some bad words under her breath. But she’ll sort it. Like she sorts everything. In her own, super organised, awesome way.

Here’s to Lyndsay 🥂 I’d be lost without you! Thank you for being so flipping awesome.

The best ways to get into the diary are to message us (PeeWee Saddlery) on Facebook, or pop us out an email... you'll get a reply pretty quickly because Lyndsay is phenomenal at diary-ing and replying to messages. You can also call on the landline and leave a message, but email or messenger is the best way to do it.

A lot of people think it'll be quicker to bypass Lyndsay and go direct to Poppy... they're wrong. She's not so great at diary-ing or indeed replying to messages. As she's usually on a yard, or driving... and doesn't tend to finish until late. By which time she's had 239874 messages and yours will be lost somewhere in the abyss of her phone.

So... if you want an appointment, contact PeeWee Saddlery, where you'll get the fabulously efficient Lyndsay. If you have any questions about anything, you can send them to Lyndsay too... whilst she might not be able to answer you directly she'll make sure Poppy sees it and will reply.

GETTIᑎG Iᑎ TᕼE ᗪIᗩᖇY - Part 1
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁?

As many of you know, we do get very booked up for saddle fittings, and there can be quite a wait.
But, don't worry... if you have an emergency, we'll do our very best to get you in sooner.

We tend to keep one day a fortnight free for 'emergency' appointments... but, what 𝗶𝘀 an emergency appointment?

Well, it's most definitely NOT an appointment for someone who has forgotten or missed their regular appointment.

Emergency appointments are for REGULAR clients, who are up to date with their regular appointments but who:
-have bought a horse that needs a saddle/saddle fitting
-have a problem with their saddle that requires immediate attention
-have a new saddle that needs delivering
-have a horse under the care of a vet, and need a saddle fitting as a part of their rehab

Please remember there are only a certain number of hours in the day, and days in the week... and we often cannot squeeze anyone else in the diary, no matter how much we'd like to, or how much we LOVE you! Looking at the diary just now, Poppy's next day off is in 3 weeks time - and that includes weekends! Which means very limited time that we can squeeeeze people in.

Sometimes, it may be that you have to travel for us, in the unlikely event that we absolutely cannot fit you in any other way - this is a last resort though. As I am sure anyone that's ever dealt with us will do, we will ALWAYS go above and beyond to help you out.
