📢 Overnight queueing for single golfers to be scrapped for the Old Course 📢

The Links Trust have announced that from the 12th March 2023 there will be a change to how single players are able to try and obtain a tee time on the Old Course. There will no longer be the traditional in-person overnight queueing system.

In its place there will be a digital solution known at the “Singles Daily Draw”. This will manage the allocation of any on-the day tee times which may become available by giving the golfers the chance of securing a time by joining with existing groups of two or three pre-booked golfers.

Single players will be able to enter the draw between 9am and 5pm on the day before they wish to play at either The Old Pavilion or Links Clubhouse. A randomised draw will then take place at 5pm with golfers being notified by SMS message and email whether they have been allocated a tee time for the following day without the need to queue for lengthy periods.

The Advance Old Course Tee Times are your chance to guarantee yourself a tee time on the historic Old Course in 2024.

The window opens on 23 August 2023. From that date, there will be a two-week window to select your dates and submit your application. Successful entries will get an Old Course tee time, a tee time on another St Andrews Links course, food and drink credit and complimentary balls to use at our driving range.

Fabulous day at Pittenweem Arts Festival - we loved daundering around the quaint streets of Pittenweem and visiting the quirky venues. Around a 20 minute drive from St Andrews, Pittenweem Arts Festival takes place every year. This years festival runs until saturday 12th August 23.

Fife Coastal Path as the sun goes down with the added bonus that it's Bramble time! How could we not pick some for our fantastic guests breakfast.

We thoroughly enjoyed a fantastic evening previewing the revamped and state of the art offerings of The R&A World Golf Museum and the delicious food at the new brasserie "The Niblick" (the place to go for lunch with a view)

Plenty of fun at the pressure putt (not to be confused by a golf simulator 😜) but neither of us successful this time!

Absolutely stunning day in St Andrews. St Andrews Castle remains closed to the public for the time being while they await news on essential repairs, however the visitor centre remains open which is an excellent way of discovering the Castles history.

Due to a late cancellation we now have one room (for 2 people) remaining for the British Open 2022.

The guest house is a few minutes walk from the town centre and an 8 minute walk from the Old Course 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

Our garden still looking colourful in November 🥰 (although today looks set to destroy ❄️💨)

Any spare time is spent in the garden and this year has been particularly successful as we won first prize in the Community Council’s Garden Competition (guest houses). When our home-grown rhubarb is in season, it features on our breakfast menu and whenever possible we showcase Scotland's wonderful larder of food. 📢📢📢Calling all Golf fans there is now only a few days left to apply for tickets to come to The 150th Open at St Andrews.

Around 1.2 million tickets have been applied for since the ticket ballot launched in July.

Entering the ticket ballot is the only way to potentially secure a place at the 150th British Open Tournament.

Golf fans can register their details through The One Club before the ballot closes on 4th October at 12noon (UK time).
