I seem to be having a rest from oil painting 😅 An ink & watercolour, & another poppy using liquid graphite but on watercolour paper this time.

Bit of an experiment this one 😅 Liquid graphite on small, 8 x 8", box canvas. What do you think? (polite please 😃)

Just finished this 8 x 8" traditional oil on natural linen board

Finally finished Joe 👏 Oil on 8 x 8" natural linen on board

Started a portrait today on a 8 x 8ins natural linen board. Just 'drawn' it & done the first block-in. Obviously corrections will be made & it will get fine tuned as the block-in continues.

2 more facial sketches in oil on 4 x4" canvas boards. Might get round to a full face eventually 😅

Just finished this 4 x 4 ins 'exploration/experiment'. And I'm quite pleased with it! If only I could do the rest of a face as well 😂 Must keep practising

Done a bit of oil painting but it's still work in progress & not too happy with the way it's going 😞 So have been doing pencil work for a change. Woodsmoor Artists had a theme of rain & I got a bit carried away 😅 Did another but can't find the photo now!

I've made a start! Reusing a disaster painting. I don't use canvases very often & this was one that went horribly wrong 😢 Turned it the other way up & covered it with green for a background though you can still make out some of the original at the moment. It's a work-in-progress - progress may be slow though!

I've not posted for a while because of health issues but hope to be up & 'running' i.e. painting - again very soon

Just picked the first raspberries! Over half a pound isn't bad as I thinned the bushes as I just couldn't keep up with the constant picking! 😅

Challenged myself & decided to do an upscaled oil version of the beautiful little girl i'd drawn. Big learning curve! Upscaling & working from a black & white photo was a bit of a test

Mmmm... Not happy with the background. Trying to work out what to do with it

After drawing, looking at values & changing things around I've finally made a start on 2 paintings. Both are on MDF but one is over the top of a reject! So far all that's done is the rough blocking in. Long way to go

I've been working on ideas for oil painting by doing some graphite drawings to see what would work. Still not sure, still playing with ideas 🤔
