Wishing all our members a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Here are some highlights from 2023.
We are now on Twitter/X if anyone wants to also follow our society on there.
Interestingly one of the last postings on the site - before we rested it - was our talk by the late Tony Husband - a very famous cartoonist.
Everyone has been enjoying our Christmas Party.
Wonderful food and great atmosphere in lovely company.
What a great and friendly membership we have.
Thanks for all the work you put in to organise this for us Louise.
Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and we look forward to meeting again in January for a new and inspirational year.
Our Christmas tree and our art and craft stall were looking wonderful this weekend - showcasing once again the incredible talent we have in our society.
Thanks to Steve, Sarah, Bill, Jill and Pam for working on the stall on Saturday. It was: “ a long but enjoyable day. “
Thanks to Louise for the pictures and being there to represent us with dignitaries.

Well here it is!
We think our church Christmas Tree is looking fantastic, decorated with our mini easels.
The theme was “ joy” - so hopefully that is what visitors this weekend will feel when they take a close look at our efforts.
MEMBERS GALLERY
We will be showcasing some of the work of our members here over the next weeks and months - we hope you enjoy looking at some of our efforts.
Here is our exciting programme for 2024!
Thank you Bill Hague for compiling all of this.
Can you count them?
It is definitely looking a lot like Christmas!
They are here and ready to hang on the church Christmas tree.
The subject of our miniature art easels was “joy”.
Let’s hope they bring you some joy looking at them.

Coming Up This Wednesday Evening ….
We were inspired tonight by an excellent demonstration by Peter Murray who describes himself as an experimental artist.
He uses all sorts of household objects to create amazing pieces of art.
He has even painted a car in these dazzling colours.
Watch out for an announcement about the opening of his gallery in High Lane.
Peter kindly came along and did his demonstration for a donation to a charity, which we will hear much more about in the coming weeks.
We just want to remind members that we have a demo on Wednesday by Peter Murray....a local artist who will be talking and demonstrating his ideas on abstract art.
Members can bring guests if they wish (£5.00).
Start time is 7pm.
Can we also remind members that all subscriptions are due by the end of October (£50.00) This can be paid by cash/card on Wednesday evening or by bacs at any time (please identify yourself on the payment)
