What is Laser Hair Removal?

LHR is the most effective and safe way to get rid of unwanted hair. As the name suggests, a specially designed laser is used to remove unwanted hair by damaging follicles and disabling them from producing more hair.

The laser produces energy, which is able to target the hair follicle due to its contrasting colour as compared to the surrounding skin. The laser pulses attack the follicles and damage them, preventing their ability to produce new hair. The number of laser hair removal sessions required will depend on the colour and coarseness of your hair, hormonal influences, and area of your body. The average number of sessions that it takes to eliminate the vast majority of unwanted hair is six. Unlike shaving or waxing yourself at home, the probability of irritation at the treatment site is very minimal and using lasers will help prevent ingrown hairs and razor bumps.

What is PDO thread lifting?
Threading is a safe and effective technique that involves introducing threads under the skin to stimulate collagen and tighten the skin. The threads are made of polydioxanone (PDO), which dissolve after 6 months and has a lasting effect for up to 2 years. These threads can be used in combination with botulinum toxin and fillers for best results.

The threads have an immediate mechanical lifting effect and will continue to stimulate your own collagen over the next few months. Therefore, the optimum results are expected 3 months later. PDO threads have 4 major benefits:

🧭 Where is Haus of Skin located? 🧭

As an ever-growing clinic, with new customers attending our Aesthetics and Laser Clinic each week, I thought a location post would be relevant.

There are two possible ways to find our gorgeous clinic in the developing 'urban village', which is Spode.

The pedestrian entrance, located on Liverpool Road, gives direct access to our clinic, which is based on the courtyard near Donna's designs (amazing florist) and other businesses.

Alternatively, drivers are able to enter via the entrance to The Quarter (Potbank) and access our free carpark via Elanora Street.

On arrival, please alert the security office to where you are going, and they will happily raise the barrier for you to access.

💥RESULTS💥

Despite the name, these vertical lip lines are not always caused by smoking but can also be due to repetitive lip pursing and movement. They are often more visible when lipstick "bleeds" into these lines. Filler into these wrinkles can help reduce their appearance. Filler can also be combined with botox to help maximise reduction.

Lip lines appear as indentations/creases (particularly on the upper lip), which can make you look older than you actually are. Dermal filler restores volume to these "smoker's lines" to help flatten them out, reducing the shadows that make these lip lines more noticeable.

✨️ LED Light Therapy ✨️

Light therapy was first used by Navy seals and athletes for wound healing and reducing inflammation. The reason it shows promise in the beauty space is because skin is photosensitive by design, so it easily absorbs light energy.
