I started running in some shoes that weren’t right for me and were giving me numb feet and sore Achilles. I went in to PAU at Trentham for a gait analysis for some new shoes. Emma put me on the treadmill and videoed my feet and how I run. I tried on lots of different shoes to see which ones would suit me and best support my funny flat feet.

I came away with some fantastic new HOKA shoes that I’ve since ran in twice and had no numb feet or sore Achilles, it feels like I am running on air, I’m finding it much easier now I’m in the right shoes.

Yes you read that right! Emma from PAU is going to be running 152 miles from PAU Run and Ride Trentham to Penmaenpool Toll Bridge to raise money and awareness for UHNM Charity on 11th October.

After losing a friend to liver cancer 18 months ago, and the recent passing of Dr Alison Brind - Emma decided it was time to set out on a high endurance challenge in memory of the two.
