As you know last week we, unfortunately, found ourselves in a position where we had to close the doors due to a couple of team members testing positive for Covid-19. Like every bump in the road we have experienced since the pandemic began, we took it in our stride and did what we felt was necessary.

I am proud of how the team at the Boars Head handled the situation and by following the rules of getting further testing and self-isolating, this became an isolated incident that didn’t spread to the wider team. All of our team members took a PCR test and we have had no extra positive cases beyond the initial ones that were confirmed.

Because of this and after discussions with Cheshire East local authority about the next steps, I am pleased to tell you that we will be opening our doors again as planned tomorrow as planned, Thursday 10th June.

I understand that this incident could cause some concern for both our guests and team members, so we have decided that every team member will do a lateral flow test before each shift so we can be confident that our team members working are negative for Covid-19.

We can’t wait to see all the smiles of our guests again as they enjoy our fabulous food and great service.

It's yet another step forward for our team and with it, brings an exciting new development to the Cheshire area, new job opportunities, and a new experience for our amazing guests! It's going to be a great summer! ☀️
