We are so proud of how well our new Reception children have settled into school. They have had so much fun exploring this week.

Our first week back and we’ve been so busy! We now have a bird hide on the field, a giant sandpit, a music wall and a shed for our tuck shop. Watch this space for the grand opening of our invention shed!

A360 Reception - First Week at School

Year 4 have had a great first week in school!

With a new school year upon us, we are encouraging our pupils to read regularly and widely to improve their knowledge, comprehension and vocabulary. You can help them at home to improve their reading ability and skills: see the attached poster for some useful hints and tips.

What a great day for Year 5!

Year 6 summer school students are having a blast at the Whitley Bay Ice rink. We even have a professional ice skater called Karen
teaching the students some basic skills. Everyone is having so much fun.

Wow. What a day we have had in Summer School. We have been to Newcastle theatre Royal this afternoon to see 101 Dalmatians with the wonderful Kim Marsh as Cruella Da Vil. Two members of the public congratulated our students on their exemplary behaviour within the theatre! Get ready for Whitley Bay tomorrow for ice creams and ice skating.

Summer school is in full swing here in Newcastle University. Here are some more photos of the year 6 before we go to the theatre to see 101 Dalmatians.

After a nice walk around Newcastle University grounds we had a rest at the student forum before having a go at Lego engineering. What great day to be in Summer school!

Year 6 ending day 2 making music with Marvellous Matt

The students have had so much fun painting pottery with the help of The Kiln pottery studio from Gateshead . We have some amazing designs from all students. They are excited to take their pottery home to use!

Group A have had so much fun making raspberry and strawberry cheese cakes. Even Miss Gjorven made one! Thank you to Kat from Fun little foodies Gosforth and Ponteland !

This morning in Summer School the Year 6 students are enjoying Nava Yoga to help them relax. Emotions and Wellness are also a focus. What a lovely way to start the day!

Just one week to go before students return to school from the summer break. Please find below some important updates in relation to dates and times of when students return aswell as our uniform expectations.

📍All students return to Academy 360 on Tuesday 3rd September 2024, please check the start times below.

🥣 Breakfast Club will be operating as normal from 8.00am.

🏫 Primary
Year 1-6 students - gates open 8.40am close at 8.45am.
New reception students - from 9.00am to 9.15am.

All enter via the primary entrance.

Primary and Secondary Hub students start at 8.45am.

🎓 Secondary:
These arrangements are just for the first day back on Tuesday 3rd September.

Year 7 students start at 8.30am.
Year 8 students start at 9.00am.
Year 9 students start at 9.00am.
Year 10 students start at 9.30am.
Year 11 students start at 9.30am.

All enter via secondary side gate entrance.

From Wednesday 4th September, Year 7 - 11 students will return to their normal start time of 8.35am.

Please remind yourself of our uniform expectations that we have shared throughout the summer break and can be found on the school website.

If you require financial support with uniform, please contact our main reception during office hours.
