Our first Monday night social takes place this evening at Norfolk Street Studios, 29 Norfolk Street, Sunniside from 6pm this evening until 10pm.

It's been a very wet day in Sunniside, but we'll forgive the weather just this once on the understanding that this sort of thing doesn't happen again.
We've seen some fabulous painting and it's been great to see everybody who came down- thank you all.
Once again thanks to our wonderful volunteers and a huge thanks to Sunniside Quarter.

Just a quick reminder that we are off on a much-needed
holiday to Elk Cove with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn when we close this evening.

We will be back on Saturday 13th July with our paint and play event in the Gallery, and Gaming at Tactic on Sunday 14th July.

Emails and messages will not be monitored during this time but we will be in touch at the earliest possible opportunity when we return, should you get in touch.

For clarity there will be no gaming sessions this Sunday 7th. There will not a gaming social @ the gallery on Wednesday 10th, and there will be no gaming session @ Tactic on Wednesday 10th & Thursday 11th.
This Saturday's Olympic Miniatures tournament event remains unaffected.

Due to annual leave Tactic will be closed for bookings from Thursday 4th July and will reopen for our next Paint and Play event on Saturday 13th July. This closure includes our Gaming Social @ The Gallery on Wednesday 10th July.

**SOME NEWS**

We are pleased to announce that we are now able to offer gaming sessions on a 'pay what you can' basis.

When we opened Tactic we said that we wanted to offer free sessions for those who were unable to contribute financially. We believe that nobody should be locked out of socialising with friends and meeting new people because of their financial circumstances.
We are now offering a three-tier pricing structure- full price, a contribution, and zero contribution price.

We are also offering the same three-tier pricing system at our gaming socials @ the gallery each Wednesday evening.

So if you can pay that's great, and we appreciate your support, but if you are unable to then that shouldn't stop you from joining us.

It's been fantastic at our Paint and Play event today. The weather
has been better than expected and it's always great to see Sunniside Quarter so busy.

Thanks to all who took part, painted a figure, or who popped in to see what it was all about.

A HUGE thank you to our fantastic volunteers who have demonstrated painting techniques, building, and playing today- we couldn't have done it without you.

Thanks also to Sunderland BID Sunderland City Council, and to all of our friends on Sunniside.

We can't wait to do it again.

Tactic is closed tomorrow for gaming, but we are holding a Paint and Play event in the gallery at Norfolk Street Studios, 29 Norfolk Street, as part of the Sunniside Food Market.
Tabletop gaming is hugely rewarding but getting started can be intimidating- there are so many different games and directions in which you can go. We want to break down the barriers that might prevent people from engaging with a fantastically inclusive and welcoming community, built from people from all walks of life and playing at all levels.

So this Saturday you can:
- Paint your own tabletop gaming figure.
- See tabletop gaming demos
- Talk to our lovely regular players about how to get started in the hobby
And there will be colouring activities for kids.

The benefits of creative play are clear- there are creative painting elements, manual dexterity skills, creative crafting and terrain/diorama building opportunities, as well as the social element of the hobby. There's something for everybody.

If you or somebody you know is interested in getting started in tabletop gaming, or even just collecting and painting miniatures, come along and chat to our players, have a go at painting, and see some gaming in action.

There will also be the opportunity to pick up some kit from our friends at DNL Models - Different not Less

It's going to be a great day with wonderful food stalls in the cultural epicentre of our fantastic city. Come on down.

From Wednesday 19th June we will be hosting boardgame and coffee socials in the gallery space at 29 Norfolk Street, Sunniside, Sunderland 6pm-10pm.
Bring your favourite boardgame (or use one of ours), bring a friend or four, and spend an evening in a friendly, welcoming and alcohol-free environment throwing some dice or playing cards.

Then Thursday we have 40k Fight Night- 2000k point team, random opponent, tournament terrain. Overseen by Olympic Miniatures

And then next Saturday 22nd June, as part of the Food & Drink Festival, we are running paint and play events in the gallery where you can come and learn about tabletop gaming, have a go at painting, and speak to those who regularly play.
