Few sore heads today but reception is available until 6pm today then 7am until mid day tomorrow. We will be closed on Christmas Day 🙂

We are currently dealing with a boat fire that started around 6.30pm this evening. The fire has now been extinguished.

The boat is berthed on L pontoon, thankfully the person who was on board is safe.

There were no boats alongside and the fire was contained to the one vessel.

RIVER TAWE OBSTRUCTION - UPDATE
We understand from Associated British Ports that the obstruction in the River Tawe estuary detailed in ABP N to M 30-2023 has now been successfully removed. ABP will be updating N to M 30-2023 shortly to reflect the removal of the obstruction.

RACE FOR LIFE - Sunday 30th July 2023

Tawe Lock Restriction 0945hrs - 1130hrs, most cruisers should be able to navigate under the Trafalgar bridge.

Traffic will be held back on Trawler Rd near the Marriott Hotel for runners to cross when needed.

RIVER TAWE UPDATE

We understand that some mobile devices have not been previewing the location map of the obstruction detailed in Associated British Ports N to M 30 of 2023 correctly.

We also understand that chart plotters and mapping software have been showing different positions for the obstruction even when the same coordinates are entered.

Please find attached an excerpt from a bathymetric survey undertaken by ABP yesterday showing the location of the obstruction.

We have been made aware that there is an underwater obstruction in the navigation channel between the old ferry berth and commercial lock entrance. Please exercise caution when navigating in this area, particularly over LW.

We have advised ABP of the issue and are waiting for a response from them. We will make a further update when we know more.

** Met Office weather warnings have led to the cancellation of the bike stages of the World Triathlon Para Series in Swansea. The swim & run stages go ahead as an aquathlon, with a revised schedule and road closures that are indicated below in bold. **

Adverse weather has led to the format of the elite and British Paratri Super Series races at 2023 World Triathlon Para Series Swansea on Saturday 15 July 2023 being CHANGED to an aquathlon.

The safety of our athletes is of paramount importance and this decision has not been taken lightly.

Further updates will be shared on our website and on the social media channels. All participating athletes have been contacted.

Trafalgar Bridge - Work on the safety gates have now been completed and the bridge will re open for public access from 7pm tonight.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.

In case you missed it - there will be rolling road closures in the city centre tomorrow.

CITY centre visitors are being advised of rolling road closures in the city centre this Saturday, May 20, between Noon and 2.30pm.
The city centre will be open for business although some disruption is expected for motorists, who are being advised to make alternative arrangements if they can for that time of the day.
The closures are in relation to a Yes Cymru march due to take place that day which starts on Wind Street and will finish on Museum Green.
The route includes Wind Street, Castle Street, College Street, Dillwyn Street, Oxford Street and Princess Way.

Our new bigger and better fuel system is now open, we have had a test fill and have a limited supply of petrol ready for the weekend. Our pumps are open from 7am until 8.30pm daily.

Tawe Lock will re open at 7am tomorrow (Sunday) one day earlier than planned😀

We are also carrying out a key feb update so please bring them along for us to re activate.

Key fobs not re activated will stop working from 1st February 2023, again we can only re activate fobs to the contract holder.

Marina tide tables will be posted out from around the 14th January.
