The City and County of Swansea's Corporate Building & Property Services Department is responsible for maintaining the Council's Public Buildings and Housing stock. We are currently looking to recruit 14 apprentices for our September 2016 programme.

The City and County of Swansea's Corporate Building & Property Services Department is responsible for maintaining the Council's Public Buildings and Housing stock.

The apprenticeship opportunities for 2016 will be as follows:

Congratulations to Sean Grey who has recently completed his Foundation Apprenticeship in Construction Building with LLETS and has now progressed onto the Level 3 Diploma in Brickwork as part of an Apprenticeship programme.

Sean has recently won through to the national final of the APSE Apprentice of the Year Award and attended the awards ceremony in Leeds Marriott Hotel last Thursday 8th October. Although Sean did not win the overall title it is testament to his commitment and dedication to his chosen trade route that he made it to the national final. Sean was placed in the Male Construction Apprentice category and finished as runner up amongst a total of 20 nominees.

Present at the awards ceremony were Emma Lewis, Policy and Programming Officer at City & County of Swansea’s Corporate Building Services and Rowland Thomas, Brickwork tutor and assessor at LLETS.

Pictured with Sean holding his award are Rowland Thomas and Stuart Lloyd, Sean’s Training Mentor at LLETS. Sean maintains that he will stay focused and committed, and attempt to go one better next year.

LLETS, in partnership with a Swansea based firm, are currently looking to recruit a Trainee Admin Assistant. Duties will include filing, answering the telephone, organising post, typing up documents, calling clients, managing diaries, calling candidates , updating all records , updating spreadsheets, listing vacancies on various job boards and ordering office supplies.

The successful applicant will develop an in depth knowledge about the company and contribute to revenue growth and improve the customer database while working towards a Foundation Apprenticeship in Business and Administration.
