'Retired, heading for my mid 60’s and a bit arthritic I was in need of some bespoke stretching and cardiac training. I was at this time, a member at Blackbrook (a regular at Pilates and a little less regular in the gym) when a friend recommended Colette.
I had never used a Personal Trainer before and obviously had some apprehensions, but we started with a couple of meaningful sessions just before we went into lockdown. Throughout the restrictions we continued twice weekly online then when regular life returned, we resumed in the gym with a programme that focussed on mobility, toning and weight maintenance.
Colette is completely in tune with the challenges of someone of my age. The ability to spot muscle zones that are just not being used or not working in the way they should is second to none. To add to her challenges I have had 3 broken limbs over the last 4 years and with her support I have regained my original mobility and strength, which for someone heading speedily towards 70 is pretty impressive in my opinion.
We now work with monthly reviews where we discuss the programme and make changes or tweaks which keep me motivated in my attendance and helps me keep an eye on my weight. The sessions are followed up by text with the amended programmes and regular check-ins on how I am progressing/feeling. I have no hesitation in recommending Colette. She is a professional in her field, understands her client’s limitations and aspirations and is a delight to work with.'

Colette Martin is a Level 3 Personal Trainer. I became one of her clients in early January and have had weekly training sessions with her since. Colette is an extremely experienced, very knowledgeable and highly professional Personal Trainer. From my initial meeting with her it was clear to me that I would benefit from her taking me on as a client and I am delighted to say that the benefits have exceeded my expectations.
Colette’s attention to detail, pre-session preparation, post session feedback and encouragement have all culminated in my feeling physically fitter and stronger and being more cognitively aware.
At the end of the first three months training, Colette has developed four programmes for me to use on my own, which cover all the major muscle groups both in isolation and compound movements. It has now been agreed that I will meet Colette once a month for an hour to monitor and review my progress.

You can join me indoors with air conditioning at Britton's Ash Community Hall on a Wednesday evening 6.15pm.
You can also now join me outdoors in the sunshine (hopefully 😎😅) at Hamilton Park on a Thursday evening 6.30pm.

Both are body weight circuit classes, so all you need is yourself, a drink and a mat 🙌
