🌍💚 Today is World Mental Health Day 🧠💪
💜And Powerhooping - yes, that fun, energising hula hoop workout - can do wonders for your mental health. Not only does it tone your body and improve core strength, but it’s also a fantastic way to release stress, boost your mood, and get those endorphins flowing!
⭕️It doesn’t matter if you’re spinning your hoop at home or joining a fun Powerhoop class, the rhythmic movement and focus help clear your mind, lift your energy, and leave you feeling more connected and balanced. And if you can take your hoop outside, even better!
💥On this World Mental Health Day, it’s important to not only prioritise our physical health but our mental well-being, too. Take time today to grab your hoop, head to a class, or simply enjoy a solo session. Moving your body is a great way to care for your mind!
🌱And remember, it’s okay to ask for support when you need it - mental health matters.

💜 This week, we’re thrilled to put Kelly in the spotlight as our Hooping Hero! A busy Mum of two girls, Kelly attends Powerhoop with Dianne Taunton and we’re excited to share her journey!
❓Can you please introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about your background?
💜 Hi my name is Kelly, I’m a 36 years old mum of 2 girls aged 9 and 5 from Somerset. In my younger years I use to compete in both gymnastics and trampolining until I tore the ligaments in my knee. Day to day I’m an administrator for a local private medical firm and also an Ambassador for Tropic Skincare.
❓How long have you been Powerhooping?
💜 I’ve been hooping for just over a year now.
❓What motivated you to start Powerhooping?
💜 I wanted to get back into fitness, but still have fun!
❓How often do you hoop?
💜 Once a week
❓What challenges did you face when you started?
💜 Keeping the hoop up and co-ordination. My fitness levels weren’t great initially, so the last few tracks were always slightly harder.
❓Do you have any goals you’re working towards?
💜 Improving my fitness levels, which powerhooping has definitely helped with.
❓What do you love most about your Powerhoop classes?
💜 The people, everyone is so friendly and our instructor, Dianne, is fab!
❓ What’s been your most significant achievement in Powerhooping so far.
💜 Being able to complete all the steps of a track without dropping my hoop!
❓What advice would you give to someone who has just started their Powerhoop journey?
💜 Enjoy it and don’t worry about how long it takes to grasp it!
❓Do you have any tips for staying motivated & consistent?
💜 I make sure I’ve got my Powerhoop classes booked in as then you have something to look forward to.
❓And lastly, tell us a fun fact about yourself that others might not know…?
💜I once trained with Olympic gymnast Imogen Cairns when I was younger and would train up to 10hours a week. I now coach gymnastics to school aged children.
