We're writing this post to shine some light on poor business practices that is effecting local families.
This post is directed towards companies like Able group and the now bankrupt erg (emergency response group). The business model for these companies is to advertise for pest control, gas engineers and locksmiths etc. YOU the customer will call wanting a service (*pest control, rats in garden for the purpose of this) and then will charge you over £227 plus VAT for 2x visits. Please note I have had customers tell me they've paid a lot more and rodent treatments should be atlest 3 visits.
They will then phone local pest control companies within the area and pay them half the money 💰. That's right !!!! They charge you a fee and keep 50% of the profits for literally phoning up a local pest controller and sending them to your address! They do not have any qualified technicians and are extremely miss leading about this. They also advertise that that they are local which could not be further from the truth.

This is also extremely miss leading with more complicated pests like fleas, they will charge you hundreds of pounds for 1 visit. Fleas always require 2x visits or the treatment WILL FAIL.

Not a pest but a great find!

What we can see here is carpet moth larvae that was under a bed side cabinet.
These little pests will take advantage of areas that don't get cleaned often. Larvae in Wall/floor junctions and skirting boards are another indicator that you may have a problem.
