Being away from my babies was hard, but getting regular photos from Pete made me smile so much. I think he sent me over 100 🤣 but these were some favourites that made me feel closer to home 🥰

After a few very busy work conference days, coming home to my box was a lovely treat. Hubby actually opened it as Moomin wanted the box as a new bed as her last one had an accident! He was so sweet getting a photo for the gram and showing me the contents 🥰 super hubby
The base layer is so soft inside and well timed as a warmer layer. I'm absolutely certain Lemmy will love the although it smells sooooo good I'm tempted to try it 🤣 and more lush smells with the coat spray.
Thank you, forelock and fringe. This was just the pick me up that a tired me needed 😊

The stages of the little superstar Lemmy falling asleep after his busy brave day!
We had the saddle fitter today, and he let them feel his back and try saddles on (the first person other than me to do that!!). We took it nice and slow with plenty of treats, and he was so good. He was tense but no big explosions, so another great confidence building experience for him. I really can not rate highly enough, Jo was so patient with him, and I think Lemmy now has a new friend.
In the end, as he's got such a short back, his current saddle was actually the best fit, so that's put my mind at rest that we can crack on. Then next spring, when he's all strong, we'll have saved for an upgrade very likely along the dressage theme 😀

The teddy bear ears are back 🐻
The camera at the yard is such a fantastic tool for management of the horses. Grace has dropped a touch of weight, and we were puzzled as to why. But on watching the camera she has been staying in the shelter when it rains, and we've had a lot of rain so she's not grazing as much! She's an old lady and doesn't like getting wet, it seems, I mean, I don't blame her. So today, the came out. Please don't judge that I forgot to wash it before putting it away 🙈 it's worked, it started raining as I left and we've watched her on the camera all afternoon and she's been out grazing happily regardless of any water leaking out of the sky 🙌🏻

I relented, after a really good groom on Saturday the rug went on. Purely to keep him dry as it's so wet and we can't take advantage of any break in the weather to do things if he's all soggy! He seems pleased 😆

Is it possible for horses' ears to grow 🤔 maybe like pinocchio's nose, but if they do something they aren't meant to?! Grace has always had big ears, regardless of whether they're jolly and forwards (rare) or backwards. But, I swear Lemmy's look bigger 🤣 maybe Grace grabs them and tugs on them overnight when he's being annoying 😆
