Such wonderful event, it was incredible to be able to be a part of it and witness all the mums so confident in their new amazing outfits, turning our corridors into a cat walk.

We were so lucky to have some mum's undertake placements at the hotel too. The work WWL does is incredible, the change in mum's confidence is ever so growing. We are very proud of all the mum's and wish them all the success in the world on their paths 🎉🎉

We have been super busy with our amazing sandwich platters for all the events conferences and meetings we hosted this week.

Trustees lunch event @ The Great Western total team involvement
With all Banquets it starts with the little things 3 days ago with the Cheesecake's made by our newest apprentice at the Beach Minehead then cooking of the
fondants, Butchery Prep, sauce making all the M.E.P required for a seamless service even the old man lent a hand. Big shout out to The Service team at our little sister hotel in Taunton and our newest apprentice there Alex prep hard serve easy bravo!!!

The Women's Work Lab supports unemployed Mums in receipt of benefits back into work via training and work placements. Our mums have faced barriers to work including: domestic abuse, lone parenting, children with SEN or home displacement. They have a variety of work experience and interests.

Our bespoke classroom training, work placement and mentoring programmes focus on building confidence, ambition and employability skills. We specialise in unlocking potential and laying the foundations for a brighter future. Outcomes for participants include moving closer to work, positive role modelling for their families & communities, and the creation of vital support networks. Many will also secure paid roles as part of the programme.

We are planning to support 120 Mums in the South West in 2023 and have a school hours only programme that is starting in Taunton on the 9th January 2024 at The Great Western Hotel.
