โœจKeep working on getting your thought process away from Iโ€™ve been โ€˜goodโ€™ or โ€˜badโ€™, so youโ€™re neither โ€˜inโ€™ or โ€˜outโ€™, just keep trying to do your very best.

โœจIf you have fallen down, brush yourself off, take a deep breath, and then try to get straight back up. Keep making sure that you get out of your own way. You are your biggest hurdle. Not other people. You.

โœจIf you have one flat tire, do you slash the other three?

โœจFailing is part of the progress and there is only one way to improve, and thats trying again.

โœจJust keep moving forward one day at a day, one meal at a time. One foot in front of the other.

Stick to routines!
Mid week or weekend!
The routine of the week can fall by the wayside at weekends and we may feel pressured to succumb to eating and drinking poorly when out socialising and there are lots more temptations around. Stop! โœ‹
It happens to the best of us.
Thatโ€™s life - it has a habit of getting in the way of our plans!
But if youโ€™ve had a setback, donโ€™t give up - get back up, dust yourself down and get back on plan!
You only fail when you give up altogether.
This analogy is the perfect way to think about it...

There are those of us who are always about to live.

We are waiting until things change, until there is more time, until we are less tired, until we get a promotion, until we settle down -- until, until, until. It always seems as if there is some major event that must occur in our lives before we begin living.

But in reality, the time is ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿฝ NOW ๐Ÿ‘ˆ๐Ÿฝ

If waited until the wind and the weather were just right, we'd never plant anything and never harvest anything ๐ŸŒฑ

We may delay, but time will not, and lost time is never found again โณ

๐Ÿฅž Pancake Day tomorrow ๐Ÿฅž

These are Step 3 and above
80 calories each

You need...๐Ÿฅž

1 Medium Banana ๐ŸŒ
1 Small Egg ๐Ÿฅš
1 pinch Baking Powder

Instructions ๐ŸŒ

Mash the banana with a fork. Try to get a mixture which is just slightly lumpy - you don't want a 'puree' and nor do you want large pieces of banana. It's best to use a slightly over-ripe banana for these pancakes. Sprinkle over the baking powder and mix well.

Beat the egg in a separate bowl until the yolk and white are well mixed and then add the egg to the banana and baking powder. Don't add all the egg at once, the mixture should be about the thickness of creme fraiche - if it's too runny you've added too much egg and you may find the result is closer to an omelette than a pancake!

Heat a non-stick frying pan over a medium heat. ๐Ÿฅž

Drop about a tablespoon of the mixture into the pan and let it spread. Continue making small pancakes (this quantity should make 5 or 6). It's important to make small drop pancakes. If necessary you can cook these in batches and keep them warm in the oven for 10 minutes or so.

Cook for about 2 minutes till the bottom of the pancakes are set and have started to go golden brown and there are little bubbles rising from the baking powder. Flip the pancakes over and cook for a further minute.

Serve with fresh berries and/ or greek yoghurt. (make sure you add in the extra calories for this)

"Watching the video my son Aodhan had made, I fought back tears. Heโ€™d asked me to help him create a funny clip to post online of him trying to pull out his wobbly tooth. Usually I hid from cameras, but he was only eight and so excited, so Iโ€™d reluctantly agreed.

Now, seeing it back, I felt so ashamed. I couldnโ€™t believe the woman on the screen was me. I was so big, and in my shapeless top I looked like I was wearing a tent.

In May 2018, I decided to start The 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan to keep me motivated and, by April 2019, Iโ€™d lost 7st, weighed 14st and wore size-16 clothes."

You are enough.

Itโ€™s true.

Just as you are, right this minute, you are enough as you are.

However, that doesnโ€™t mean you shouldnโ€™t stop trying to better yourself, or to become a healthier version of yourself, mentally and physically. But you CAN learn to do these things with LOVE for yourself.

Body positivity and striving towards our healthiest weight/self donโ€™t have to be mutually exclusive.

Why canโ€™t we learn to love our bodies as they are now why trying to eat healthier, work out/move in a healthy way and strive to be the best versions of ourselves but done with self-love and not self-hate?

Iโ€™ve had a client with weight related health conditions follow body positivity pages and declare she is going to work on body acceptance, and stop with any form of โ€˜dietingโ€™ or even โ€˜exerciseโ€™ and just โ€˜beโ€™. Fine, in theory, as Iโ€™m all for body positivity, self-love, self-acceptance and the normalising normal bodies in the media movement. However, she came back to me a year later even more unhappy with herself and another 15 kgs overweight. So I ask, why canโ€™t we merge the two? Why make the word โ€˜dietโ€™ such a sin, because thatโ€™s what is often needed โ€˜a healthy dietโ€™, if we improve the nutrition, we donโ€™t just look better, but we FEEL better. Who doesnโ€™t want better energy and improved sleep, and then let the rest follow โค๏ธ

Itโ€™s not a sin to want to improve your eating habits, and whether thats via intuitive eating, counting your macroโ€™s or following a supportive more structured plan like ours. Itโ€™s whatever works for you! We are all so different, and at different weights with different issues! So letโ€™s all stop with the judgement, and learn to do whichever path we choose with love for ourselves and respect for other peoples choices.
