Mark and part of our wonderful team have had great fun, as well as raising funds for The Mark Skinner Campaign - currently raising funds for a new play park in memory of Liam and all the babies and children no longer with us, who would have loved it xx Thanks to all those who gave unwanted crockery for the very popular 'smash' - the kids LOVE it!! Please remember us if you have any unwanted items for our charity stall every Thursday on the market ๐
(Laura's husband soaked her by the way! She will get him back!! ๐คฃ๐คฃ)
If anyone wants to throw a sponge and soak Mark, he will be at the events shown here this weekend, along with some of his team - as always raising funds for The Mark Skinner Campaign!!
Today was Joโs last funeral โ she has officially retired! We would like to thank Jo for helping on our funerals over the last 20 years. In the last couple of years, Jo has been on lots of travels โ we wish her well for her retirement and hope she enjoys many more holidays and travels abroad โ she deserves it!!
Rob Head (Oaktree Ceremonies) has been working in parallel with Jo over the last few years and of course will continue alongside the other lovely Celebrants we work with, Clare Spiller (Joโs daughter), Nicole Turner and Jill Enefer.
Missing - Our Spitfire from our D Day 80th Anniversary display outside our Thetford office, has gone missing, we would really love it back if anyone knows of its whereabouts. We use it for all our Remembrance displays and had grown quite attached to it โ thanks in advance for any help.
After looking after these two treasures since Wednesday night, back to work today (could be a part-time day ๐คฃ) - would say for a rest, but we absolutely loved every minute of it!! ๐๐ xx
These beautiful horses are always so very well behaved and still looked stunning even in the pouring rain on Friday, for one of our lovely families xx
Townies Carriage Masters
Part of our wonderful team receiving the Best of Brandon award in the Business category - thanks to the organisers, people who nominated us, but most of all our brilliant team - we couldn't do it without you!
Lovely Jo Donlevy, who has helped many of you in her role as a Funeral Celebrant, has won a special recognition award for all her help with families who have tragically lost babies. Well deserved Jo!! xx
Special love and thoughts to all the Mum's no longer with us - they will always be in our hearts xx
Sharron's curls might have gone ๐ฎ!! These two had their heads shaved in public and have helped us so very much by raising thousands doing various things to help The Mark Skinner Campaign - currently raising money for a new play park. They are legends!!!! Thanks as always to Sharron and Dennis!!!! xx
As she was left out of our other photo today and as it is International Women's Day - here's our wonderful bearer/driver Laura!! โค๏ธ xx
It's been a bit of a week, ending with the big funeral below with 5 limos (could only fit 4 in the photo lol!) and including a funeral in Sheffield as well as all the other funerals carried out for our lovely families. Had much needed fun with the team midweek though, it was one of our Funeral Conductors, Danny's birthday and so the team had a night out with lots of laughs and (a little school night) drink! Danny is the only Hammer's supporter and didn't appreciate his card though ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ!!!
Today we are saying goodbye to a true character and lovely lady, Pauline Quadling - former Mayor of Thetford. Her family have given us permission to show you Pauline's special last journey - on board her son's truck. Thanks for the laughs and memories Pauline xx
Here's to 2024! Happy New Year everyone! It's been a tough year for us personally, but our beautiful Otis and Abel continue to provide so much fun and unconditional love ๐๐xx

We always try to support as many local groups and projects as we can. Today some of our amazing team gave a bit of their own time to cut and tidy Monkey Stile in Brandon, ready for Britain in bloom judging next week.
Anyone having a clear out or got anything you no longer need for our stall please? Also Chilterns Ltd who sponsor the Weeting Steam Rally are very kindly raising money for the Mark Skinner Campaign this year and need items for a tombola they are organising there. Can be dropped at any of our offices. Thanks as always everyone!

A lovely turnout for John (Waveyman) xx
Video supplied by Beccy Hyam.
Tomorrow, we say goodbye to John Gentry, our lovely Waveyman. We will be travelling from our premises via London Road, to John's home, but would kindly ask that you do not pay your respects there - this will allow his family some private time with him, which they have requested. The hearse will then travel along George Street arriving at Market Hill at 11.10am for a short service of remembrance led by Rev'd Sharron. Everyone is welcome to attend, and we would ask that you arrive there for 11.00am.
At the end of our service there will be a musical tribute from Breckland Brass Band - we will then leave Market Hill on John's final journey. We hope as many of you as possible can come along and give John the biggest WAVE OFF.
