This weekend we celebrate Mabon and the autumn equinox!!!
I love this time when we appreciate all the earth has to offer before it slows down and transitions into the cooler, darker months. Its been a colder summer this year, with jumpers definitely being out all year round, but there has still been lots to be grateful for. Pumpkins are almost ready for the harvest (if you know me then you know this is so exciting to me).. and my kale and strawberries have made a last dash resurgence after looking like they were ready to completely die off.
Work, family and friends have offered lots of love, support and fun; and even though there had been harder times this year ( and there's been quite a few) I've had the blessings of being reminded just how bloody beautiful this human existence can be. Abundance is in the air, and the universe is always ready to give... you just have to be arms wide open and listen to its gentle messages

I wish every one of you a wonderful change of seasons, hoping you get to harvest lots of goodness into your lives

So I don't get political on my page often, but I feel there is a sentiment here relevant to yogic thought......

This kid has had some very thought out discussions about politics the last few weeks so he's come along and seen the process this morning.

The reality is I've been on the fence, I know what I don't want the outcome to be... but I've not been sure what the best way to achieve that has to be. Jenson however knew what he felt was best, and the reality is the decisions made today are going to effect his generations future the most; so he chose where that cross went today

Get voting, don't moan about the state of the country and do nothing.... but more importantly listen to the ones in your house who are going to be impacted by all this in the future. They won't be interested in politics if we don't engage them and make them feel heard

So blessed for community, wonderful friends and people who support each other

The perfect afternoon to end days of celebrating the sun with the summer solstice workshop.

Wishing you all many blessings on the longest day of the year.

This day is here to remind us that the light will always come back to full strength and bring with it abundance; while staying on the circular path of life and death. As it comes to fullness, it must also start to allow the dark back in so that rest and reflection can slowly start to take place.

Sun gods and goddesses are worshiped the world over, bringing to us hope, joy and a spark for life.

Ways in which you can honour the solstice:

1. Stay up through the sun set until sun rise ( or choose to have a little snooze in between the two)
2. Have a bonfire
3. Eat outside and enjoy nature ( always leave an offering for the fae folk)
4. Have a party.. it is the time when the fae come out to play ( just don't go adrift with them)
5. Build an alter to the sun, or sun divinity you honour
6. Set intentions for the year ahead
7. Be with family, cook or freshen up the home.... we have just moved into cancer season after all
8. Do some gardening, get those last plants of the summer in the ground to take in the last of these long days
9. Be creative, it is the perfect time with higher vibrations to really get into a creative project
