IDEALS UK is a new research study exploring how students relate to others on campus who have a different worldview from themselves.

By learning about the experiences students have with diversity – whether religious or cultural, for example – this research aims to inform university policies and practices that will make a difference to the student experience.

Top Tips : finding eBooks

Of course you have been using e-resources more than ever in the past few weeks...but did you know you can easily narrow your search to JUST find eBooks in our database??

In light of tonight's announcement, both libraries are now closed. We will still be offering virtual academic support appointments, bookable via SimmSpace. We're still here for you though - you need any support with our online services, or have a question, please email us!

In light of the current situation, we are temporarily reducing our opening hours to Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. You will also need a St Mary's ID card to access the library buildings. The Study Hub and IT rooms will remain open 24/7 as normal. Keep an eye on our social media channels and SimmSpace for updates on our services, or email us if you need library support.

Due to staff shortages, the Main Library will be self-service from 5pm instead of 7pm today. Self-service operates till midnight for St Marys students and staff. Naylor is open till 9pm as normal.

Naylor Library Lost & Found

What Was Lost is the 2007 début novel by Catherine O'Flynn. The novel is about a girl who goes missing in a shopping centre in 1984, and the people who try to discover what happened to her twenty years later. What Was Lost won the First Novel Award at the 2007 Costa Book Awards, and was short-listed for the overall Costa Book of the Year Award.

We will be closed next Wednesday 19th June for our staff development day.... But don't worry, you can still access all the 24 hour areas as usual with your St Mary's ID card! 😀

We've had to close both libraries today (12th June) due there being no water supply on campus (or the entire Twickenham area in fact). We're very sorry for any inconvenience and hope to reopen as normal tomorrow. The IT rooms and Study Hub remain open but you'll need your St Mary's ID card to enter and exit.
