20 years of playing this game and I’ve been every size you can imagine.

I have 4 tuxedos that fit me at varying stages and a wardrobe that goes from large to very large…

What I’ve leaned above all else is that everything comes in cycles.

Calories in vs calories out was where it all began, then calories were demonised as we FitPros tried to stand out with a new message and attract new business because we’d found the new way…

PT’s became Bootcamp instructors then strength facility owners, then coaches…

As we kept trying to find a usp and differentiate ourselves from each other to get the next sale…

But one thing never changed as we kept changing our roles and putting on new caps to keep up with the market!

The one thing was that no matter what you’re going through, no matter how many conversations you have as we learn to share more, no matter what excuses we might create…

The first step to feeling on fire was always but always always moving more!

So yeah let’s reach out more and talk more and share more and be better at talking.

But, it will always cycle back to the beginning

You may or may have not noticed that since launching Man On Fire back in Jan, I have not once mentioned, in any of my marketing, not one single utterance of anything about weight loss, results, exercise choice or anything that might come close to what might be deemed as “standard practice” for us gym folk!

No naked before and afters, not calling out bad practice, not whining about people who don’t get it (they will in their own time)

We don’t need that!

We don’t need “influenced” that way…

We just need our people!

Somewhere to turn up and do the work!

The work we all know that we are more than capable of doing and just needed a hand up to get started…

And a buggerlugs like me pointing us in a direction,

Not thee direction I should add,

Just A direction!

That’s it, they were the 3 words I chose to build this business on.

Absolutely none of this success has been created on belittling who we are now, with the promise of becoming something else!

Because we are ALL already POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE!

So we stop putting off feeling class for date in the future that we can / might achieve

Because,

If all that happens WHEN,

How can we ever be happy, NOW!

All that other stuff in the fitness industry is just noise and a by-product of feeling on fire!

Besides NEVER has a client ever said

“Great Paul I’m now satisfied”

the line in the sand perpetually moves and we always want something else…

Body transformations are for ego, likes on instagram and pats on the head.

It’s always the FEELS that gets the accolades and feels we can have every single day! Simply by starting in the right way…

So let’s all just skip the scales and go straight for feeling the fire…

This will be your best friend.

I'll share some slow cooker high protein recipes book that work great for this diet and coupled with all those chinese take-away cartons you've also been keeping hidden away for an unknown reason, we can take care of most of our meals with 1 hours prep on a Sunday.

A typical day for me would be 4 meals I dont find the need to snack that way but if I did then yoghurt and berries would be my go to.

When in full swing I tend to eat 4 egg omlettes with peppers, spinach or asparagus for breakfast.

Then I prepare 2 slow cooker meals on a Sunday for use during the week (trying to use different proteins) and portion them out for easy use and lastly I keep plenty frozen fish to defrost the night before and its a quick oven bake with a big boy salad.

It's a good idea to start thinking what your typical day might look like and how you can fit food in around training and work times.

One of the ways we create FIRE at Man On Fire is by building commitment and discipline back into our nutrition.

For most of us we need simple straight forward plan and this packs that in abundance. For over 20 years I've always come back to this as a foundation to bring balance back to how I feel and to pack in food that is ful of nutrients.

THE ELlMINATION DIET

Diets are like tools in a tool box, sometimes we need a phillips screwdriver and other times we need a hammer.

This one is more like the hammer in that analogy but is best suited to this time of year while the sun isn't calling us all to the pub!

Calories are a thing, you will have probably heard from influencers that all health is as simple as creating a calorie deficit well that's only half the picture.

Your logical brain will also tell you that someone who eats 3000 calories of ice cream is going to feel entirely different to someone who eats 3000 calories of meat, veg and fruit!

How we FEEL will dictate much of what we choose to DO...

So for us to feel on fire and to have the energy / desire to stck to our commitments we need to REMOVE, REPLENISH & REINFORCE our digestive system, hence we follow this plan.

Let's go with the GOOD NEWS first - There are no limits to the foods we eat on the 'allowed list'

The bad news is that for 28 days:

*NO WHEAT
*NO DAIRY
*NO ALCOHOL
*NO CAFFEINE
*NO SUGAR/STARCH
*NO PROCESSED FOODS

Remember 28 days, not forever!

It may seem that this is crazy and that there is nothing left to eat after removing these categories but there is a plethora of foods and combinations we can have we just aren’t thinking that way, yet…

And, is it really that crazy?

Stop eating processed foods and stimulants and stick to natural living foods - not so crazy!
