Copper beech is participating in arts in care homes. This year we have been drawing things that make us feel home and happy. A lot of our ladies drew some beautiful flowers as they symbolise home
Our reminiscing and relaxation afternoon has been lovely, talking and laughing about all of the blasts from the pasts! We have enjoyed talking about some of our old favourite movies and favourite singers
This morning we have been having a bit of a reminiscing session, we read this book together called I saw two Englandās in which the author tells us how it was before and during the war. These lovely ladies enjoyed listening and talking about their own memories from this period of time. With lots of giggles too š
Yet another wonderful afternoon being entertained by Andy Mace, itās something that our residents at Copper Beech really look forward to, lots of fabulous songs and great Dad jokes enjoyed by all. Thankyou Andy for the music š¶
Itās always a special day at Copper Beech when someone has a birthday, so it was a Happy Birthday day with balloons, gifts flowers and cake š
Today we have been in the garden, although it isnāt the sunniest day itās still been a pleasant afternoon. With us drawing doing wordsearches or us reading together. We all enjoyed having chats about various subjects including the royal family.
Poetry is a wonderful gift to share with others, especially as it evokes memories and images in each individual mind whilst listening to spoken words.
Today we have been lucky to share Mark Duryās stories and poems about his life experiences.
A mixture of Humour, Story and the opportunity for the residents to share their poetry skills too. Thankyou Mark for the afternoon of word and wisdom.
Itās always nice to have a project for the day, so the knitting Nanas are working on a memory picture to mount on our corridor wall of a French Olympic flag to commemorate the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics.
For those who didnāt want to knit, we made Fans to keep us all cool for the day, and have displayed them for all to admire.
A lovely afternoon in the garden. With some lovely country music and a fun game of scrabble. We have all had a nice laugh together while playing our games we had a friendly competition

This morning we had a very lovely visit from diesel! It made everyone very happy to be able to stroke and cuddle him, puts a smile on everyoneās face š canāt forget the biscuits though š¤£
This afternoon we have been having lots of fun in the garden, drawing pictures, playing ball and having a nice little chat amongst ourselves. We are creating our own about me books! We look forward towards the end result šš
Celebrating š„³ one of the residents birthday. Lovely cake everyone sang happy birthday š„³. They also did word puzzles .

Friday afternoon activities was scrabble and trivial pursuit. Thankyou to Mitch for making a punch for the residents. All enjoyed and chatting with each other.
A day of listening to music residents singing lovely visit from one of our residents dog š¶. Quiz and chatting about things that remind them of the past . Tea cake and fruit. Thankyou to the staff as well for joining us š
Thankyou to Victor and Sue Munro for this afternoonās entertainment. A social gathering with songs from 50s 60s and 70s to sing along to. Everyone was enjoying the time together, followed by a cup of tea, cakes and fruits.
We have had a very nice afternoon working on our hand eye coordination. The residents particularly enjoyed ring toss seeing how many they could get on the hook. It even got a bit competitive towards the end! But everyone enjoyed themselves and even got a piece of cake at the end š§š
This morning we had a lovely surprise visit from one of our carers sons. He drew us some lovely pictures and was handing out little sweet treats. All the residents were very happy to see him. Plus the choice of a brownie or a flapjack! Thank you Daniel for brightening our day šā¤ļø

Happy colouring book day!!! We have been handing out and putting colouring bags around our town. Bring a little bit of colour to some peopleās days. This lovely little boy was over the moon with his new colouring stuff. Itās always lovely to put a smile on someoneās face. We had a little pit stop for a coffee. It has been a lovely morning ā¤ļøāļø

This afternoon was āSing with Julieā Dreamboats and Petticoats. Lots of songs from the 50s and 69s, a little bit of Rockinā and Rollinā dancing, hand clappingāš toe tapping, hand jiving, and it was a little warm to say the least š„µ but a good time was had by all. Everyone spoiled with Lollies, fruit punch, and lemonade with ice to add to the hydration. š š
This afternoon we have had a lovely time in our garden. As itās National friendship day we have all played some games together and put together puzzles as a team. Here at copper beech we value friendships and kindness. It has been a lovely afternoon with lots of laughter and sunshineāļøš§©
