Weβve been having lots of fun at Temple Grove recently, we had another bbq party in the garden with families and live entertainment. We have also been making the most of the sunshine and had lots of minibus trips. π ππ
Today some of our lovely residents enjoyed sitting outside in the garden in this beautiful sunshine βοΈ
They also enjoyed lunch out on the patio
And then this afternoon we had target and ball games
National care home week was celebrated here at Temple Grove on the 24th to the 28th June. We had pastries and coffees available all week for all the professionals in the community to thank them for their continued support, a strawberries and cream afternoon tea, national bingo day, sports day. The week was then all finished off with a 60βs themed BBQ party. π ππ₯³βπΌπΈππ°π₯
Our lovely residents enjoyed some beautiful paintings this afternoon, using plastic cups with bubble wrap tied with elastic bands and choices of different colours.

We had a magical visit from the amazing Adam smith who performed lots of different card tricks our residents couldnβt believe there eyes. π β οΈβ£οΈβ₯οΈβ¦οΈπͺ
We had another visit today from The Paint Club all the residents really enjoyed a creative afternoon. We think they did a pretty good job! ποΈπ¨π©πΌβπ¨π§πΌβπ¨
We had a lovely afternoon today at Temple Grove with a special visit from the Uckfield singers. All the residents and staff enjoyed having a sing along πΆπ€
On Monday we held a champagne afternoon tea for βCelebration of Life Dayβ this was a chance for us to reflect on the residents who we have loved and lost here at Temple Grove. A tree was planted here in the grounds in memory of those who sadly are no longer with us. We would like to thank everybody who attended and helped make it a memorable afternoon. Including the deputy Mayor of uckfield, Wealden Funeral Services, Uckfield Volunteer Centre, Aurora Funerals and Tricia Bentley - Celebrant of Sussex who did a beautiful speech for us.
Our amazing kitchen team supplied all of the lovely food and we had wonderful entertainment from David on his Saxophone and our very own healthcare assistant Hazel who sung for us.
Santa Clause allowed one of his elves to sneak away and make an early delivery to all the residents at Temple Grove! We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas ππ€ΆπΌπ πΌπ
We had a lovely week last week, we celebrated our very own Spanish day which consisted of some reminiscing, a homemade paella from our kitchen and trying some Spanish tapas in the afternoon with some Spanish wine and brandy whilst listening to some traditional Spanish music. Then on Friday we had John from The Paint Club come and do a painting class with our residents which they all enjoyed πͺπΈπ·ποΈπ¨
Today we had the pleasure of welcoming Our Amazing Animal World to Temple Grove, all the residents and the staff enjoyed getting to meet all the animals and have cuddles π¦π¦¨πΉ
A huge congratulations to our kitchen team here at Temple Grove for receiving another 5 star hygiene rating in the kitchen βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ
Yesterday we had another visit from Beck at Pet Pals, we all enjoyed cuddles with the Guinea pigs and rabbits. The residents also enjoyed watching the young ferrets running around and playing π°ππΉ
Yesterday we restarted our Temple Toddlers group, everybody had a lovely time. We all enjoyed cuddles with baby Skyla and singing along to nursery rhymes.
Today we took our residents down to the sunshine coast of Eastbourne. They enjoyed a lovely walk along the seafront down to the pier, followed by fish and chips and ice cream π¦βοΈπ π
We had a brilliant weekend here at Temple Grove celebrating the Kings Coronation. We made lots of decorations on Friday and then had a right royal knees up on Saturday afternoon. Hope you all enjoyed the Coronation as much as we did πππ¬π§π₯³
What better way to spend our bank holiday than watching Singing in the rain this afternoon, after a very busy weekend celebrating the Kings coronation βοΈπ§οΈ
We enjoyed a fun trip out today to Shoreham Airport, the gentleman watched the planes coming and going whilst enjoying a lovely lunch with a pint βοΈπΊ
Weβre all feeling very festive now here at Temple grove after our brilliant Carol service from High Hurstwood CE Primary School, we have also made mince pies and Christmas decorations, weβve also had some festive trips to the garden centres to look at the decorations and do some Christmas shopping. ππ πΌπ€ΆπΌβοΈ

We would like to say a huge thank you to the Queen Mother's Clothing Guild for their very generous donation of these beautiful twiddle muffs and blanket. Our residents are absolutely going to love these β€οΈ
On Saturday we held our annual summer party! It was an amazing day with beautiful weather, food and drinks which was enjoyed by all our residents and their families. Also a big thank you to Dave Collins for providing the music for the afternoon. ππ¦ππβοΈ
Happy Heatwave! Hope youβve all managed to stay cool this week, our residents certainly did. We have spent lots of time in the garden, with ice lollies and ice creams. Also we have done some lovely crafts, making our own ice creams and Lucy from Dementia Singing Experience, Sussex came and helped us to make a beautiful felt piece,using the wet felt method. This will now be displayed in our dining room for all residents to enjoy. βοΈπ¦ππΆπ

We hope youβve all had a wonderful few days celebrating the Queenβs Platinum Jubilee. We had lots of fun here at Temple Grove, with a Jubilee fair in the garden with games, candy floss and fish and chips. We also took part in the plant a tree for Jubilee, with a beautiful new Acer tree standing tall in our garden with itβs lovely new plaque.π¬π§ππͺβοΈ

We have had a lovely afternoon here at Temple Grove. We have finally welcomed back Pet Pals! This time they brought along some chicks and Rolo the goat. All the residents enjoyed meeting and handling the animals, with a few lucky residents getting to feed Rolo. π₯π£π
A big thank you to St Maryβs catholic primary school for their very generous donations. All of our residents are going to really enjoy receiving a gift and a Christmas card from the children. Also our staff are extremely happy to receive gifts and cards of thanks. Our care workers have worked tirelessly through this pandemic for the last 18 months, so these will be very gratefully received.
