Deafness is rising in the UK; by 2035, it is estimated that one in five British people (over 15 million) will experience hearing loss.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a national charity that trains dogs to alert deaf people to important and life-saving sounds like the smoke alarm, alarm clock and even a babyโs cry. Their burgundy coats also act as a visual reminder to the public when they are out and about that their partner is deaf.
Donations raised through Pennies when you pay by card help support Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. Just a small donation can make a big difference! Hearing Dogs for Deaf People Pennies

Imagine you are deaf. You canโt hear your smoke alarm or alarm clock. You canโt hear your text messages. You miss out on social interactions.
Thatโs what life is like for deaf people, and it can be very isolating.
A hearing dog can make a big difference.
You can help our charity of the year โ Hearing Dogs for Deaf People โ help a deaf person leave loneliness behind, by adding a donation via Pennies when you pay by card.
Just a small donation can help deaf people escape isolation and reconnect with life.
Thank you.
Happy International Cat Day!

๐จURGENT ๐จ WE NEED TO FIND THEIR OWNER ๐จ
We have a black and white cat currently receiving emergency care in the hospital. Little one was found in Kingstanding.
They have been hit by a car and our vet team are currently making sure they are receiving pain relief and emergency first aid treatment
Sadly they are not chipped but are wearing a collar. We have attached a photo of the collar to this post but withheld the little oneโs gender for ID purposes, we will also need to see photos to prove ownership. If this is your cat or know who they belong to please call the clinic ASAP on 0121 5161999

โ๏ธUnlike us, pets have no understanding that hot weather can be harmful. We control their environment, their access to water and their exercise, and they canโt speak up if they start feeling unwell. Heat stroke can rapidly progress and, even with veterinary treatment, is often fatal. โ๏ธ

Today marks the start of the Summer Olympic Games hosted in Paris, the City of Love โค๏ธ
Fun fact: a whopping 32 sports will be played at the Olympics this year, with an estimated 45,000 volunteers helping out at the games.
Will you be watching the Olympics this year? Comment below with your favourite sport!
Heat stress starts as a reversible condition, but if not managed it will develop to heat stroke, which is extremely dangerous.
If your pet shows any of these signs, they should be moved to a cool area and offered plenty of water to drink.

๐ฐ ๐ฐ Rabbit Awareness Week ๐ ๐
Flystrike happens more often in warm weather, and in rabbits who have soiled fur (often due to poor diet, obesity or arthritis).
Throughout the spring and summer, rabbits must be checked twice daily and any soiled fur cleaned. If you find any sign of fly eggs or maggots you must arrange for your rabbit to see a vet as soon as possible.
