Sales & Design Consultant, London, £35k, V04200. Our client are designers and makers of unique sculptural lighting, furniture and artworks of the highest calibre. They are commissioned by celebrated interior decorators, collectors and discerning private individuals worldwide and are recruiting for an experienced Sales Professional who is well informed regarding the high-end interiors markets and able to provide an outstanding service to clients.
Their clients are looking for quality, individuality and efficiency from the Sales Team in order to make decisions on purchasing, delivered via clear, knowledgeable and beautiful presentations of simplicity and elegance. The position is based in the London showroom in the heart of the sought-after Pimlico Road Design District. You would be working closely with the creative and manufacturing teams in order to sell quality pieces with artistic merit and longevity. As an ambassador for the company you will be championing their work and ensuring all creations fit with the client’s goals.
Responsibilities also include to: Negotiate and build positive relationships, creating lifetime clients for the company; Produce and present client proposals; Be part of the end-to-end sales cycle - post sale follow-up, WIP and post-sale deliverables; Maintain company database following all systems and processes; Host and attend tours of their unique workshops and studios as well as marketing events to drive new business.
Experienced in high-end sales environments such as contemporary art and/or design, to include ideally furniture and lighting you’ll have strong IT (Photoshop, Microsoft, CRM Software) and presentation skills. You’ll need client facing sales experience and ideally 3+ years selling products with a price range of £5k to £100k. Commercial awareness and numerical ability will be a requirement as well as a proven sales record and experience in generating new business leads.
Salary is £35,000 plus on target bonus and uncapped highly competitive commission structure and a great benefits package. Senior Design Estimator, London, to £38k, V04199. Our client are designers and makers of sculptural lighting, furniture and artworks. They are commissioned by celebrated interior decorators, collectors and discerning private individuals worldwide and are currently recruiting for a Senior Design Estimator to join their growing team. As the Senior Design Estimator your remit is to effectively research and select the best practice processes, materials and suppliers for the purpose of manufacturing company designs. Your goal is to ensure maximum profitability for the company with the combination of affordability and outstanding quality for the customer. You will be expected to have a good rapport with all stakeholders in the business both in-house, and externally with suppliers to maintain and develop good working relationships.
Key Responsibilities include to: Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time and raw material, equipment, and labour expenses to prepare and submit RRP quotations for the Sales Team; Understand a supplier’s capabilities through research and visits to gather information on materials and outsourcing ;Use internal ERP system to calculate estimates; Read off-plan and CAD technical documents to prepare estimates; Recommend ways to make a product more profitable while improving or maintaining quality and client expectations.
Degree qualified with knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator you’ll have experience of costing, budgeting and design within the manufacturing of interior products for ideally the high-end design sector. Numerate with good Microsoft Office skills and able to administrate a database you’ll be analytical with good problem-solving and time-management skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills will also be needed.

Lighting Designer, London, £30,000 to £40,000, V04192. Our client integrates transformative lighting design into interiors, architecture, landscapes and related systems. They work to enhance the beauty of clients’ work and create lighting designs using surfaces of shadows and luminosity. Located in West London their offices are in a building with communal areas including a local food and a coffee shop downstairs and offer discounts at the gym as well as regular seasonal events.
They are now seeking a Lighting Designer and considering one of two options. Firstly, a Midweight level lighting designer with ambition to be a key member of the organisation, to further develop their skills and experience in all aspects of managing high-end international luxury projects, and to help develop schemes from initial concept and take them through to site and installation. Secondly, a Junior level designer with ambition to grow within an organisation with great access to direct experience with all aspects of a project from initial concept to site and installation for high-end international projects.
The Midweight will have 4+ years’ experience gained with a consultancy within the lighting design industry. Good client facing and project management skills will be needed as well as AutoCAD, Dialux and Relux (or equivalent) skills. You’ll be both creative and technically good at creating scheme solutions and be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat with strong presentation skills.
The more Junior level will have 2+ years’ experience gained with a consultancy within the lighting design industry. You’ll be AutoCAD literate and able to interpret and draft plans, elevations and detail drawings. You’ll be both creative and technically good at creating scheme solutions and have Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat skills. Experience with Dialux and Relux would be an advantage.
Salary is between £35k to £45k DOE (Midweight) and £28k to £32k DOE (Junior) plus pension, company bonus, gym and food discount schemes. Project Manager – Lighting, Surrey, to £45k, V04185. Our client is a bespoke business creating contemporary and heritage lighting crafted by artisans for residences, hotels, superyachts and restaurants. As Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall planning, direction, coordination, ex*****on, control and completion of assigned projects, with a view to improving internal efficiency, increased margins and external customer satisfaction.
Duties will be: Preparing and implementing a structure project plan; Defining the resource requirements and ensuring the team has the correct support required; Managing and monitoring the project plan and budgets; Managing stakeholders and liaising with design, production, customers, sales and purchasing; Coordinating the placing of supplier orders; Ensuring all products are market competitive and meet customer needs; Driving improvements and efficiencies through review of project management performance.
With 4+ years’ relevant experience to include project management you’ll have excellent planning and organising skills and strong influencing and negotiation skills. A self-starter with drive for results and able to work independently you’ll possess good leadership qualities and the ability to direct and motivate the team. Design Estimator, Leicestershire, £Neg., V04183. Their designs combine responsibly sourced, high-quality materials and superb workmanship to ensure they endure for generations. Their bespoke projects are borne from a consultative service offered to clients who wish to realise individual commissions that draw on their design expertise.
As Design Estimator you will be part of the creative and design team, responsible for those individual projects to ensure smooth transition from concept to installation. You will also act as the first point of contact with the Sales Operations team, with the focus to provide design, quotations, pricing and technical support. Full travel expenses paid when visiting the workshops.
Duties include: Working to brief to identify and understand customer needs and maintaining the flow of the project information through to completion; Producing drawings for client approval and ensuring drawings are accurate for manufacture; Working with the Design Manager to create custom and bespoke considerations on new designs; Using SolidWorks and the CAD database to ensure all files are up to date; Providing technical support to colleagues.
With 3+ years' professional experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably lighting and/or furniture) you’ll be proficient with SolidWorks and the Adobe Suite (lnDesign and Acrobat Pro). A technical and commercial understanding of furniture and lighting construction, materials and techniques for effective manufacture will be needed. Alongside strong planning, prioritisation and time management skills, you’ll be a confident communicator and able to work to deadlines. You’ll also have a keen eye for detail, with an appreciation for the highest quality craftsmanship and materials.

Product Prototype Developer / Model Maker, North-East England, £Neg., V04178. Our client is a well-established, family-owned UK independent manufacturer of products and furniture for the home. They have multiple brands, enabling them to appeal to a wide range of tastes with customers including, architects, designers, specifiers, retailers, hospitality, private and social housing providers and the end consumer. They are currently looking for an experienced Product Prototype Developer / Model Maker with excellent joinery and carpentry skills and woodworking machine experience to make prototype models using Timber, MDF, Metal, Resin, Gel Coats, Casting / Tooling Resins and Fibre Glass. The ideal candidate will work closely with the development department, mainly in product development, rather than mass production. The candidate will also have input into the final design of the product to help to ensure ease of manufacture.
Key Duties / Responsibilities: You will work closely with the development department, working from technical drawings and resolving technical problems; To use your workshop skills to make prototype and production moulds; You will work closely with the design department to assist in the design of new products or modifications to existing designs, from detailed component design to full assembly; Communicate with Management / Directors to provide information on project status and expected completion dates; Liaise with other workshop staff and designers to carry out work; Continually seek to improve both personal and workshop capabilities.
With the ability to use standard machine shop tools such as hand and portable power tools, within a workshop environment, you’ll need experience and an understanding of resin casting processes. Ideally also experienced in rubber mould making and painting, you’ll have creativity and the imagination and a willingness to adapt to different techniques and use of materials. Knowledge of Electronic Components, Timber & Metal Fabrication would also useful. Good numeracy skills (calculating weights etc.) will be needed as well as basic knowledge of Microsoft products-to create guides for handover to production.
