We noticed our stock at the National Trust Shop in Sidmouth needed a little boost, so after a busy few days hand pouring tins and jars to replenish their shelves, Phaedra rewarded her hard efforts by packing up a box and took a scenic drive to deliver it by hand. ⁠

How do you like to unwind after a long week?

Did you know some scents can't be created using essential oils? When shopping for a new candle, the scent itself may help you determine whether a candle uses synthetic fragrances or essential oils. 🌿⁠

Essential oils are natural extracts which we've chosen to use because of their aromatic and therapeutic benefits, but as wonderful as they are, they do have their limitations. Some examples of scents that can't be captured purely through essential oils are:⁠

🍓 Non-citrus fruit scents such as berries or watermelon.⁠
🎂 Sweet confectionary scents such as birthday cake or candyfloss.⁠
🎃 Complex fragrances like pumpkin spice or cherry blossom.⁠

Trust your nose... if it smells particularly fake, it's likely to be a synthetic fragrance.
