Great news from the The Etches Collection!

You will be glad to know that the museum has reopened after five weeks of gallery refurbishments. Not only will you get to see our wonderful pliosaur skull made famous by the BBC documentary ‘Attenborough and the Giant Sea Monster’ but there are lots of additional fossils on display, many of which are new to science, meaning that they are incredibly rare and often unique specimens.

The gallery refurbishment project was made possible with a £219,500 grant from The Wolfson Foundation and from The Department of Culture, Media, and Sport - Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund.
