I attended French after school club on Monday at Stretton St Matthew's CofE Primary School and had such a lovely time with the girls whilst there 😃

They are learning all about food at the moment, so we made our favourite foods using play doh as one of our activities. It was so hot that day, so we didn’t feel like moving around too much, and this was a great way to have fun and keep cool 😎

Jayne has been doing a fab job with this group and the school is very focused on teaching the pupils a second language.

They even have signs all around the school in French 🇫🇷 to remind the children of key words and phrases within school.

Zoe has been with Speak Like A Native Cheshire for 8 months now and teaches Mandarin in primary schools across Chester.

When she was younger, she used to dream about being a singer. She uses her passion for music in her language classes, where she loves to incorporate songs as a fun learning tool🎶

If you're looking for Zoe outside of class, you might catch her reading, practising yoga, or meditating. She loves to take some time for herself and recharge!

Spring term is coming to an end, and we are super proud of the progress that each and every one of our little learners has made!

We have been busy writing out certificates and grabbing our cool wristbands ready for all our learners, to celebrate how far they have come on their journey to becoming bilingual wonders!

We are already looking forward to the next term, where we will continue to have a ton of language fun and adventure!

EASTER ACTIVITY TIPS 🐰

Want to make learning colours or numbers in different languages super fun?

Using Easter eggs might just do the trick! 🐣

Here's how it works: Take some plastic Easter eggs and write numbers or colour names in different languages on small slips of paper. Then, hide the slips of paper inside the eggs and let your kids find them. Once they find an egg, have them open it and say the number or colour name in the language on the slip of paper. It's a super easy and enjoyable way to introduce new vocabulary and concepts to your kids, and they'll love the thrill of hunting for the eggs too!
