Reason no. 4 To Learn Italian
Unesco rated Italy as having more sites of historical importance than any other country and, with almost 60% of the world’s arts treasures, speaking the language opens you up to a richer experience and understanding of its art and history.
Reason no. 3 To Learn Italian:
In spite of the current economic/world situation, international companies are always looking for staff with a command of their host country’s language. Perhaps you are looking for a new adventure/place to work in the future? Why not Italy!
Reason no 2: To Learn Italian:
Italian film director Federico Fellini once said, “A different language is a different vision of life.”
Speaking the language will give you a greater understanding of the country and its culture.
Ten Reasons to Learn Italian.
If you haven’t already decided that this year you’ll learn to speak Italian, then over the next days we will provide you with ten reasons why you should consider it!
Reason no. 1
Derived from the language of the Roman Empire, Italian is one of the most romantic of the romance languages. With most words ending in a vowel and a cadenced sentence structure, it has a musicality that makes it quite a simple language to comprehend and to speak.
Italian lessons: - Are you interested in learning a new language skill this year? Or improving on what you already know - and develop your passion for the Italian language.
If so - then please contact us for more details about our ten week beginners Italian class starting in January. If this date doesn't suit you – please contact us – to discuss other suitable dates. We also do online lessons. Grazie mille.

La Domanda del Giorno?
What is Europe's (and possibly the world's) oldest University?
Italian History Fact of the Day! The Romans were nearly all wiped out!!
At its peak in the 1st century, Rome’s population is thought to have been approximately 1.5 million, but by the time Rome fell in 476 A.D, that figure had fallen to a mere 17,000. Roughly speaking - about 99% of the ancient Roman population was lost, meaning virtually no Roman today could claim to directly descend from the city’s ancient population!!!!
Did you Know? Italian History Fact of the Day!
Much of Italy used to be part of Ancient Greece – with the Romans calling the whole of Sicily and the boot of Italy – ‘Greater Greece’! Amazingly, there are still pockets of Greek culture and language in Sicily and Calabria to this day. The tiny Girko community speak a form/dialect of Italiot Greek that is believed to derive from the Ancient Greek language!
We treated ourselves to an Italian (ish!) breakfast today! The pastries are courtesy of Sextons in Lymm. Grazie mille!
Adoriamo La Bella Città di Roma
We love the beautiful city of 'Roma' and history surrounding the city and the Ancient Romans! Look what we found at the weekend in St Roccos's charity book shop!!! All we need now is a holiday to read it!!!!
