News flash: We are still open and trading as normal. The garage that liked to use our name with (dot)COM on the end that’s never been anything to do with us is no longer in business.
If you’ve got a booking with them they will not be able to fulfill it unfortunately. We have received numerous calls from customers of theirs with concerns as I believe their phones are not getting answered.
As we have always said “lowton motor company” is no way connected to Birchwood MOT so we are unable to assist with any issues relating to them.

💡Your lights are easy to check with a quick walk around inspection, and you can ask a friend to check your brake lights.

✅ If any are faulty get them replaced before the MOT to prevent a fail result.

🚘 Don’t forget to check the alignment of your headlights! Incorrectly aligned headlamps will result in a fail result at MOT and also dazzle other drivers on the road.

The COVID 19 MOT extension/exemption is ending 1st August 20.
This means any MOT due from 1/8/20 will be due on its original date and will not be extended.
We anticipate a higher than normal demand for MOTs as those cars that had the extension at the beginning of the outbreak will be getting due soon.

We are pleased to be back open and serving our local community. We have measures in place to limit the risks, we are limiting the number of customers in the waiting area/reception to one household group only. We ask you follow the government guidelines and wear a mask when visiting our workshop.

Clare brought her lovely 2cv in for mot today. This car has been in her family for 25 years. It was fully restored after been stolen a couple of years ago.
Passed the mot after a couple of minor jobs.
