We present for consideration, this exceptional fusee clock with 12” dial, by maker Henry Shearer of Liverpool. £1,100.

The clocks turned roundhead face and boxed cabinet is made of deeply grained Mahogany, with a hinged inspection door located on the side of the box and a turn catch hinged regulator door to the bottom of the box. The clock retains its original metal dial with black Roman numerals and Shearers details, finished with its original pair of blued Spade hands, secured with a pinned collet. The clocks dial is then protected by a thick glaze mounted in a brass bezel.

The clock benefits from a fabulous high quality 8-day single fusee chain driven movement set between 4mm thick shouldered plates and knopped pillars and comes with its original 75mm diameter brass pendulum bob and a brass winding key.

Tonight we present for consideration this superb 1895 French Pillared Carriage Timepiece with Floral Fretwork Frontage. £525

Standing on its brass bun feet, the clocks case has 5 x bevelled glass tablets and 4 x three-quarter Corinthian style fluted brass columns. Above the upper fretted corniche are mounted finials and a fluted swing carrying handle. The clocks fabulous frontage offers fine handcrafted pierced gilt foliate fretwork, which surrounds a chapter ring of cream enamel (containing black Arabic numerals) and a filigree of pierced gilt fretwork. The dial is then finished with its original pair of blued spade hands of bespoke design.

The clock’s high-quality jewelled 8-day French rear-winding movement, is accessed via the clocks swing door; the single train mechanism being driven by a wonderfully engineered top mounted platform escapement that helps the clock keep excellent time. The timepiece also comes with an authentic French winding key.

Tonight we present this high-quality Victorian open-faced silver fusee pocket watch, 125g, signed on dial by master watchmaker John Dixon Fisher, of 228 High Street, Lincoln. Hallmarked London 1870 and sold with a 40g silver hallmarked chain and fob. (Total weight 165g). Priced at £520.

The white enamel face, signed by Dixon, has a subsidiary second's hand dial with gold hands. The movement has an engraved Coventry made Star Mark, with silver balance and diamond end stone. The case maker was Ebenezer White ("E.W") of Spon Street, Coventry. The watch comes in an executive Pu leather storage / display case with a winding key, together with instructions on how to wind and set the watch time.
