☔I would like to share with you my experiences of Working with people with dementia
☔Each of us is different, has different needs, interests.
☔Working with people with dementia takes time. Getting to know personality, interests and needs.
☔ It is very important to know how we can best help the person. I try to observe the peoples and get to know them better.
☔It is then much easier to help to know what a given person likes and what is better to avoid. Changes that occur in a person as the disease progresses. We can see that interests, expectations, humor and even persolality change.
☔Therefore, in my opinion, it is very important that people feel safe in our company. Sometimes a person with dementia may forget who we are, even though they have known us for several years, but there is certainly a hidden feeling that we, as their companion, are good for them and that they feel safe.

I remember a person with whom I worked for several years, I was with her every day, but every day she asked who I am. She didn't remember, she felt lost, but she felt safe in my company.
☔Another person in my memory is a wonderful lady who, was looking at herself in the mirror, did not know who it was, that it was her reflection. She didn't like her reflection, her beautiful long hair, because it wasn't the color she was wearing anymore.
