The Warwick Eagle
The Eagle is a cozy pub right in the middle of Warwick offering Cask Ale, Craft Ale, Wines and Spiri
An enthusiastic member of the team eager to pour you a refreshing beer..

And Rachel
The weather’s a little bit meh and I doubt there’s anything on telly (remember when there really was nothing on telly on Sunday afternoon?).
Well don’t despair ‘cos we’ve got some fab beers to discover here at The Eagle.
My favourite right now is Rat in the Hat.
If you want to keep up to date, download for our selection and a few of the other best pubs around.
Here’s a now and next beer update for The Eagle. We’re always getting something interesting in for you to sample. You lucky people 😄
And Captain Morgan 0% for Rupert!
New week, new beer.
Pushing on past 400 unique cask ales and 250 unique craft ales and still going strong!
Was it the Dungarees, his T-shirt, persuasive personality or help from ?
Anyway, in the latest episode of The Dungaree Challenge, Warwick Mayor, councillor Dave Skinner raised an amazing £536.30.
The money goes towards our Girls United project, part of - a small write up included.
Dave nominated Rachael who will be raising money for . Date TBD.
Thanks to who let Dave in to ransack the meeting who generously donated!
This beer, Woolly, is a new offering from Attic and just happens to be our 400th unique cask ale.
It’s a 3.8% NZ Pale, a perfect summer session ale.
We opened in April 2022 and love our beers, and love variety. That’s why we spend literally hours each week sourcing the best selection of beers we can find. Mostly ‘cos I love trying them 😊
We repeat our favourites every now and then but each of our 3 hand pulls are on rotation every barrel. So what you see on Tuesday, you won’t find on Saturday!
And that’s how we’ve racked up 400 beers in 851 days.
(And we’ve had 250 unique craft ales too).
Like beer like we do? Come and try something different at The Eagle or at The Old Post Office.
Absolutely honoured to be featured on Episode 1 of the series "Ten Pubs you must visit" hosted by The Great British Pub Crawl - and they should know!
Ten Pubs You MUST Visit (Episode 1) Welcome to a new series where we highlight some of the oldest, the best and the quirkiest pubs of this crazy journey! Some of these never before seen on our ...
These lovely dungarees weren’t very well appreciated as a present
So we’ve repurposed them as a fundraising challenge - first Rachel, then Tim and now:
Warwick Mayor Councillor Dave Skinner.
We’re set for this Saturday August 17th.
Please let us have your pledge in either The Eagle or The Old Post Office. Or message us here.
We’ve pledged £100 to get things going… all proceeds go to Girls United. More info about that if you scroll across.
We’re now on so you can see what excellent Ales are on offer.
We’re going to join at The Old Post Office too and the are also on there so you can go find your favourite ales in at least 3 quality pubs in Warwick!
All we have to do now is update it every time we change beers = daily!
Thanks to Rachel and Sean.
We’re doing an experiment to colour match drinks with hair…
Wondering what to do next weekend?
Put this in your diary! Two days of music while you drink lovely drinks and eat lovely food 😊
So the llama dungaree challenge started with Rachel.
A certain Tim then nominated me and put an amount of cash behind that nomination.
Challenge completed!
And I nominate Mr Dave Skinner, Mayor of Warwick. And we’ll put £100 behind that nomination.
Charity fund is The Tom Maccabee memorial fund, project is Girls United administered by
All we need to do now is set a date and a venue Dave!
If you’re looking for somewhere in the town to have a nice cask ale in the centre of town this folk festival weekend, we’ve definitely got you covered.
We’ve also got plenty of space outdoors underneath our new sun canopy!
Spot the difference… had a little outing to the Beer Festival yesterday.
Some of these are real people, I suspect some are AI generated!
Anyway, had a lovely time, checked out a few beers (which I can now order with confidence), enjoyed a bit of
Looking forward to Harbury Beer Festival (August 30th and 31st 2024) and 2025 Court Leet Beer Festival already!
Love interesting beer but prefer cask, or you haven’t had chance to try Deya on hand pull?
We’ve got a great line up for you here at The Eagle!
Blue Bee American 5 Hop (from Sheffield tha’ knows)
Lord Marples, one of my favourite Best Bitters.
“it’s not another app”. A 3.9% Pale Ale. A proper session beer, full of Deya flavour!
We love our beer at The Eagle and The Old Post Office. Come see what we have in store for you!
The beer scene was bleak a couple of decades ago, but now the amount of choice is astonishing!
Both of our pubs are entirely free to choose whatever beer we think will be excellent and achieve a balanced offering!
And we’ve got some crackers on now and on next, including these world class breweries:
Blue Bee Brewery
Just in case you want something to distract you from the football….
790 days into our adventure at The Eagle and we’re currently serving cask ale number 370 and craft ale number 225.
We’re not always great at updating our “now and next” posts, but some say that discovering what’s on is half of the fun!
The world is split into two groups of people. Those who love the Euros. And those who don’t understand the offside rule (nobody really does, they just pretend).
Anyway, if you’re looking for somewhere without “5 big screens”… come here, sit back, enjoy a nice drink and talk about… not football, not politics and not religion.
And here we have the strongest beer we’ve had on draft since opening…
Four Companions. A barrel aged quadruple Belgian style. It’s spent 18 months in red wine barriques, to enhance the flavour.
Yes it’s £8 a half, but if you wanted a 375ml bottle that’d cost you £10.95. And it’s the same price and strength as many a large glass of wine… And it’s nicer than most.
We’ve got 35 halves of it so don’t hang around!
visited Warwick a couple of weeks ago… nice reviews of both The Eagle and The Old Post Office.
They’re over 3,000 pubs into a quest to visit every pub in the country so have a bit of experience to back up their judgement!
We’re always happy when people enjoy our little hostelries.
And we’re not the only pub(s) worth visiting in Warwick. But you already know that!
The Eagle is a special little place. Just a couple of years old but full of friends, memories and surprises!
No two nights are the same, and we’re very grateful to all of you for that! ❤️
Ok… I confess I’m slightly smug about this one!
The Eagle is one of those amazing pubs where you can never tell what will happen, who will come in, and where the conversation might lead!
Rachel and I are in on Friday night, let’s see if we can make it swing 😊
Jenny says this 8.4% barrel aged orange sour - Burst into song, is banging.
I couldn’t agree more.
£4.00 a half. Worth every penny. You can taste the barrel aging and the orange of course!
According to this map of Warwick tunnels there’s a tunnel directly under The Eagle.
That’s it, in the event of Armageddon, we’ll have plenty to drink, a few snacks and the we can burrow our way out!
And a couple of other lovely little historic Warwick pictures… just ‘cos.
Thank you The Great British Pub Crawl
By order of the (other) management…
Rachel wanted a pineapple sour… so here we have it.
Ooohwee passion fruit, guava and pineapple sour. 5.6%, £6.00 a pint.
Lovely, proper sour sour!
Finish off your Bank Holiday Weekend with a lovely Beer at the Eagle (or Wine or Cider or whatever takes your fancy)
We spend hours every week researching our beer, selecting the best, cleaning the lines and making sure the beer is in peak condition to be served.
All you need to do is choose 😊
Today we have beers from:
