She has progressed through the business from Assistant Manager to Deputy GM at The Akeman Inn, and onto General Manager at The Polecat, before moving into our Basecamp Head Office team as an outstanding Training Manager, where she can influence and develop so many team members across the company from a central standpoint.

From local charitable projects that have become company wide initiatives, to successfully opening and training in eight new venues, and being the youngest General Manager in the business at the age of just 21. This award is so well deserved.

What a day we had last week at the Fullers Brewery in Chiswick learning so much about their products, production and how to look after our cellars.

We then headed over to All Bar One in Leicester Square to learn all about Asahi, beer & food pairings, and the perfect pour!!

The Beer Champs are now equipped with new knowledge, tools and so much enthusiasm heading back into sites to share their expertise!

Earlier this week our wonderful training team held a Butchery Masterclass with at The Beech House Amersham, to grow our teams understanding and respect for the process our products go through before coming into our kitchens! With a mix of roles and levels from Kitchen Assistants to Head Chefs.

Marketing team testing out the new brunch dishes from the chefs at the this morning whilst working from site - cooked to absolute perfection. Delicious Turkish Eggs in garlic & dill yoghurt with harissa, and the perfectly stacked Sweet Potato, Courgette & Feta Fritters with avocado and red pepper hummus, surprisingly light and bursting with flavour. Working from pub never tasted so good. Bravo team!

Earth week 2024, and we are doing our small part to add to the global effort!

Vegware takeaway cups, free coffee grinds for the garden and more tiny moves to friendlier and low ego impacts efforts!

🌎 Seven years on from first removing plastic straws from our business, we know it is all about accumulative small wins that make a bigger difference…

Having officially embarked ‘On The Road To Net Zero’ and with Earth Day 2024 🌱 underway it feels prevalent to shine a light on the wonderful work our teams are doing.

Through the implementation of the Sustainability Forum, driven by our teams, we have a nominated ‘Green Eco Ninja’ in each of our venues. They are committed to minimising our environmental footprint on a local level whilst achieving overall business goals to meet our carbon and impact reduction targets set out in our CSR Policy.

Our teams will be demonstrating all their small victories this week in the ongoing battles to strive for change. Starting with the global focus on single-use plastics for Earth Day today, then onto electricity, gas, water and recycling with a different focus every day of the week. Sparking conversation and enthusiasm internally for greater change, and the sharing of best practise.

Our Green Eco Ninjas are working hand-in-hand with our Social Media Champions to spread the word at each of their sites… celebrating our commitment to a greener future.

Celebrations are in order! 🐎 Please come and join us this Wednesday evening from 7PM at The Betsey Wynne… to celebrate Oakman Racing Clubs win at Aintree last Friday, with Arizona Cardinal ridden by Ciaran Gethings and trained by Stuart Edmunds. A brilliant victory. We will be putting the trophy on display at The Betsey Wynne with Stuart and all the team there to celebrate. We will also be auctioning off Arizona Cardinal’s horseshoes in aid of the Injured Jockey’s Fund. We would love to see you there 🏆🍾

They’ve done it again! Second win in two weeks. We are delighted to announce that The Journeyman has been named as the Buckinghamshire Pub & Bar of the Year. Congrats team. You are on a roll. Very well deserved.
