Access to public transport is something many people take for granted.

But a staggering 14 million people in the UK have some form of disability or accessibility need that can make travel really challenging.

We worked with our partner Chrome Angel Solutions to develop a virtual reality simulation game with rail operator Northern to support disabled customers building confidence to travel.

Ellie turned five this year and what an impact her little life has had already.

Our app is a free resource tool for families to help support them through the delivery of a baby that has sadly died. It also offers aftercare support too for the weeks, months and years following loss.

It's been a real pleasure working with the baby loss community and others who also support this community to ensure its something that meets a need.

We have a long way to go as we move forward in developing more resources for the app but we are excited to show you what we have achieved.

Thankyou for the kind funding from Action Together in our local town of Oldham and for the voluntary time of all those involved. Thankyou to Totem Learning Ltd for doing an amazing job on the design and build.

We can change the world slowly all by ourselves but when people come together in small ways, big things can happen.

Well not exactly about the cost of cars (we don't sell cars) but rather how much does a serious game cost?

And we have to give the most frustrating answer, the one you as a buyer don't want to hear... "it depends."

But it really does!

Of course just like if you were buying a car, it depends on
❓ Your budget
❓ The engine size
❓ How many seats do you need (more doesn't always mean a higher cost
❓ What added extras do you want? etc.

Regardless of manufacturer there are so many options you can choose which will impact the cost.

The same is true for serious game design.

It depends on;
❓ Your budget
❓ What kind of game suits the learning objectives
❓ How much content do we need to cover
❓ What systems do we need to integrate with and many many other factors

This is why we recommend an exploration phase to any engagement.

It gives us an opportunity to work together to define the scope and set the project up for success!

And you'll be surprised at how little time it actually takes to answer the key questions which means we can answer the question of how much.

You can take a more accurate figure to procurement to ensure you're not over spending (or under spending and putting your partner under pressure leading to poor quality and cut corners).

So lets spend a little bit of time together up front defining what it is we can do together!
